There is a mildly interesting video on the internet where a West Brom website discusses the pros and cons of signing Danny Batth and if you remove the local rivalry thing, the positives were many and the only negative boiled down to him not being so good at playing the ball out of defence. The way we play, it would not be such a bad thing for us, as a short pass to Bannan or Pelupessy would satisfy most situations, a hasty clearance or interception is never going to be a slide rule pass and with just three at the back, you don't want centre halves wandering forwards looking to play the ball too often anyway. I think we could do a lot worse than Batth up to the end of the season and if our young players can keep making appearances too, we should be in a stronger position to do a permanent deal at Christmas or in the summer, when a few contracts are up. Groundhopping Owl
He’s a good player, but I must admit it does my head in with players like this when they’re on loan at a different club every year.

Southie_Owl
Disappointing to hear Hull fans don’t rate him , as I thought he was meant to be alright. Hopefully Jos has watched him enough to feel he can get more from him

Precisely, put an end to all that bouncing around on loan and get him committed to a club that actually wants him
