Kieran Lee and Gary Hooper

Recommended Posts

I reckon we could actually put out a decent side if everyone were fit:

                                             Wildbeast

                     Fred                Lees              JVA

Hunt                              Sammy                             Reach

                  Forest                              Bannan

                                       Hooper

                               Joao

Any from Nuhui, Boyd, Matias, Pelupessy, Lee, Westwood, Pudil to step in from the bench.

The above has a bit of pace, bite, guile and power in the right positions

Yep, but I think Jos is a fan of 4-2-3-1 and is only playing 5 at the back (most weeks) as we seem to have more midfielders and attackers injured.  With more non-defenders coming back from injury, I reckon it'll be more like:

                             Wildsmith

Hunt           Venancio       Lees         JVA

                   Hutch            Bannan

          Reach                                   FF

                       Hooper

                               Joao

Westwood, Pudil, Pelupessy, Clare, Lee, Matias, Nuhiu.

Got cover for every posotion on the bench them too.  *sigh*  Roll on next season!

I reckon Pudil would be more likely at left-back than JVA.

Reckon Jos will stick with the back 5 for the rest of the season and next season?

As much of a good player Hooper is he can't stay fit, if we get an offer in the summer I'd be tempted to reinvest.

I agree, but i cant see anyone coming in with any sort of bid for a medium paced, injury prone player who is on in the region of 30 grand a week.

Hes a good player, but not the world beater some on here think he is.

If it's next season you could probably swap JVA for Penney and I'd switch Reach and FF to have early crossing opps rather than the Carlos 'cutback' which seems to slow things down and make it easier for defenders to get in position

A co-worker told me they'd bumped into Lee recently; he rubbished rumours of his retirement when asked and said he was "a few weeks away".  Not sure if that's a few weeks from training or playing though.

Still the best player at the club.

Next season could be a promotion season if we have Him Hooper Hutch and Foresteri  fit.

This but Bannan and Sammy behind Hooper with Joao and FF up front.

I'd still have a fit Westwood in net every day of the week.

He's also a huge character like Sam, we miss that and the organisation a lot.

Really hope we don’t have to resort to playing Reach wide, especially as a wingback with no cover. The lad can’t tackle. Has to be priority position in the Summer and we can work our whereabouts Reach is best after that.

I was at the game at the weekend, Reach played very well in a "free role" in midfield.
