VIDEO - Jos explains tonight's result

Recommended Posts

Bottom line is he’s getting it in the neck for picking no forwards yet it was the defence that let us down, poor defending when the defence has been a spark of light of late.

The guys tinkering, that’s fine under the circumstances.

No explanation that Millwall could close us down and press us, due to the formation.  Millwall had no offensive players to mark, so could double up on our defenders and press us back.  (Hence giving the ball away all the time)

He did mention that we didn't have defender in place to clear the ball for one of their goals, even though we played 7 defenders.

We invited them onto us by having no strikers for an outlet hence us fannying about with it at the back and losing the ball

Its hard to defend for 90 minutes with no outlet.

Even at amateur / Sunday league level, anyone who's played in a team with strikers that are rubbish or players that can't hold the ball knows this.  Playing with no strikers or outlet up the field, just invites pressure.  The opposition then just push forward even more.

His response to these questions are VERY worrying. Confused answers and little logical cohesion to what he's saying.

He just didn't want to give his gameplan away plus obviously worried about Thorniley who'd just been shipped off to hospital

His defence was under constant pressure because we had no attack outlet. None.

If the ball went forward it came straight back

no disrespect To jos but  Millwah  could I expect not believe their luck tonight with no forward players to defend against ,sorry but it needed Atdhe or joaw to at least give their cb's something to worry about ,, seems like a poor call tonight Jos hope you learn from it

Why would he risk players with small problems to potentially have them out even longer? As if our current injury list isn’t bad enough.

Made the most with what we got and didn't manage to get the result, oh well.

Roll on Saturday.

Is George Hirst injured.  We have a young lad in the under 23s that has scored a few recently, Preslav Borukov.

Sometimes you need to take risks to avoid relegation

it's easy to be critical of his selection coz it was a strange one  but for two individual mistakes by fox & thorniley it would probably have got us a result ........he's dependant on players doing there job and sadly for him those two messed up and we lost the game ..........the two games he's lost 4 of the 5 goals we have given away have been down to individual mistakes by 4 different players and theres not much he can do about that .

We could have lost 3 or 4 more goals due to mistakes. As a manager he should have been able to see from the first half that we got away lightly and changed his tactics/instructions accordingly, he didn't and we suffered the inevitable consequences.

The outcome was all too predictable.

Thing is, we've heard " probably " too many times this season.

Probably doesn't ensure survival.

Let's see how he gets on the next two matches, because I believe he's walked into a complete  clusterphuck of an organisation
But this team decision defies all footballing logic.

Let's hope we don't see such a team again.
