I will not be told how to spend my money.

If the club refuse to accept Legal tender,  then, I won't buy anything.

There are plenty of alternatives, after all.

We should all protect the principle of choice in payment.

They’re not trying to tell you how to spend your money, they’re making it easier and more efficient for you (and them) to spend. Less time queuing means more spending.

More and more stadiums / venues will go this way. The club is simply improving and keeping with the times.

I welcome this cashless technology. I don’t have to worry about taking a wallet full of money. And it’s quicker...don’t have to wait for the bloke infront to count his change.

They ARE telling you how to spend your money...They are saying they don't take your "MONEY"......Go into a soddin' shop and spend £3 on yer "Contactless" and they charge 50p..cos of "Contactless" and the admin fee...You can't go into Hillsborough and say..." I want a £3.50p" pie but am only gonna give you £3 pound coins  cos of the effort i make scrabblin' in me pocket for a 50p piece"..are ya..

bloody total scammery

Each to his own......

However, I will not be dictated to.

If they will not accept Legal Tender then I will not be buying.

Too many people behave like Sheep these days.

We the supporters will decide how to make a payment (or not)

less queues at the food kiosks but late kick off due to all salad dodgers at the top up terminals not knowing how to work it because their fingers are too fat and keep hitting 2 numbers at a time and in a rush to get 5 pies and some chips before kick off to keep them going to half time..

i myself am a salad dodger

If ever there is a reason for people to buy less in the stadium this will be it.

This 100%

I go as far as contactless

But I'm not topping up a card that I can only use in one place on one day

If they want to send me a bill at the end of the month, that's a different matter, but I'm not topping cards up

I'll find my pre match tipple somewhere else

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.
