Westwood - 2 - worst game I've seen him have. He conceded 4 goals at home and really should have been 5 if Clarke scored the sitter he missed. Positioning and distribution was terrible. Time for a rest maybe

Hunt- 5 - got skinned time and time again. But gets a 5 for his attacking play. One of the few that actually tried to go forward. Albeit his crossing was woeful. At least he tried. He actually put the graft in but just lacked quality in the final 3rd.

Lee's- 3 - with Westwood one of the worst games I've ever seen him have.  Weak at the back and offered nothing in the box when attacking set pieces. He's our captain but he didn't lead the team today. Bottled it.

Van aken - 4 - at fault for at least 2 goals. Went forward a couple of times with the ball and played some ok long balls. Was slightly better than Lees but very slightly. Very poor defensive showing.

Reach- 2 - head and shoulders the worst player on the pitch. He's just terrible. He can't cross, he isn't fast, he's not skilful, he can't take a man on and he can't shoot. He also can't track a man or defend. The fact we paid 5 million pounds for him is still astonishing.

Wallace - 3 - usually likes a big game. But didn't show up. Created little to nothing and his quality of delivery was appalling. Seems to be getting slower

Bannan - 4 - awful 1st half and booking finished him off for the half. Better 2nd half but still far too deep. Huffed and puffed but wasn't himself. Was outclassed and out thought by their midfield.

Lee - 3 - joins westy and Lee's in having one of his worst games for us. Was totally anonymous. Bit of tippy tappy in the box when he needed to just hit it. Game passed him by and he added nothing.

Jones - 2.1 - woeful. His passing was horrendous. He kicks like he has two broken feet. So light weight. If hutch was feet he should have played. Jones just doesn't offer enough. Should have come off sooner. Again outclassed outfought

Fletcher - 3 - did nowt. Don't remember him winning a header. He ran around alot and fouled the defender. Looked 10 yards off the pace. Should have come off at half time. So slow it hurts.

Hooper - 6 - best player today. Actually cared and wanted to score. Took his goal well. Could have had another on another day. Rest of team let him down. Only criticism he came far too deep too often leaving other striker on his own.

Subs
- joao - 6 - played well and impressed. Took his goal well. Ran at their defence and worried them. Should be involved more. We have no one anything like him. He's miles off the finished product and his decision making is poor but he's keen and raw. And he's fast!!!

- Rhodes- 2- did nothing. Can't remember him touching ball. Signing him has crippled us financially and it has cost us. He's still not scored this season and hasn't really looked like scoring. I like him but there has to come a point when he becomes a disastrous signing.
13 - 15 million on him and reach

Butterfield- 2 - 3 shocking corners.
Can't remember him doing anything else.

Carlos- 2 - tactically destroyed. He has the stand up and pay the price for another disastrous result in a huge game.
Why does he insist in shoehorning CM in to a 442. If we're gonna play 442 with over lapping full backs then play wingers and full backs that can cross!!!! Where's Marco mattias?? He's a player with a hard of pace and technically he's brilliant. He also cost a lot of money. He should be at least on the bench. Another poor piece of man management. He was one of best prospects in Portuguese football. Now what...
I think his time is up. The football is slow boring and predictable. We play for 20 mins in each game.... it's not good enough and he's had rediculous amount of money to spend.
Most of his signings have been weak if not terrible. The butterfield/ winnall swap is looking like another disaster.

I really worry for Leeds game. A quick attacking side full of confidence will rip this team apart.

Very very poor display. Utterly gutless.

I'm not getting this Hooper love in today

Took his goal brilliantly, messed up a one on one, apart from that ......???

Also it Would be handy now and again if his legs did as much moving as his waving arms or his pointing finger

Not sure what you saw.

BUT it seemed he was the only one in the 11 with a desire to win.

I feel a bit sorry for Reach today. Not a great performance by any strech, but he was left completely isolated and exposed on the left (was Bannan supposed to help him? Because if he was then he failed miserably at it) and United doubled up on him every opportunity they had. But he still kept going and managed to get an assist for his troubles.

The fact that at no point did Carlos change the system / personnel to support him and stop  United from exploiting our left flank was criminal

Westwood  -  4  -  As good as the first and third goals were he should have done better, why was he so far off his line for third ?

Hunt  -  3   -  Constantly jumped in and sold himself and constantly wasted posession

Lees  -  4  -  As our most experienced defender he should be leading, but the fact is he looked frightened to death

Von Aken  -  2  -  The lad has a future but this was a rude awakening, far too soft, him and Lees made Clarke look like Klinnsman

Reach  -  1  -  He gets a point for the ball in for the second, other than that he was f***in awful,  an abysmal display of so called defending, weak as f*** for someone his size......please put this idea he is a fullback to bed.

Lee  -  3  -  I love Lee but the sad fact of the matter is he went missing big time today, never got involved and on the few occasions he got on the ball his touch was pi$$ poor.

Bannan  -  6  -  Not his best game by far but at least WANTED the ball and tried to get us moving.

Jones  -  0  -  Come on then !!! lets be avin you, all you beard stroking football sophistos who have been spaffing over him these last few weeks telling us how VITAL he is.....he was garbage.......a holding midfielder who cant tackle

Wallace  - 0  -  Did nothing..............absolutely nothing

Fletcher  -  3   -   never won a header all day and pretty much lost the ball every time he had it.

Hooper  -  6  -  Good goal and was the one faintly bright spark in a first half that will live long in the memory for all the wrong reasons

Joao  -  7  -  MOTM and he only played 45 mins which tells you all you need to know......sometimes took the wrong option but gave us impetus and drive............look at his impact today and think back and weep about the number of times we have brought Nuhiu on for 15 - 20 mins in the past.

Butterfield  -  2  -  Sole contribution was to waste two corners by hitting the first man

Rhodes  N/A   did he even touch the ball ?

CC  -  0  his response to being totally out fought and thought was basically to throw as many strikers as possible on the pitch.

Awful, awful start AGAIN got the team shape all wrong and waited 45 mins to change it.............utd looked like scoring EVERY time they attacked and we looked impossibly weak and nervous, as much as it pains me Wilder had his team spot on and thoroughly deserved the win.

Excellent summary

Westwood - 4 - Poor for the 1st goal. Not sure how he got beat from the angle of the 3rd. Awful kicking once again. His form at present is a real concern.

Hunt - 3 - Saw a lot of the ball, but used it poorly. Looked vulnerable defensively, and Brooks did him like a kipper on a few occasions.

Lees - 2 - Abject. Woeful. Bullied by Leon Clarke. He didn't have an answer to him. Shocking display from our captain.

Van Aken - 3 - Struggled with the physical nature of Clarke. It was a concern for most fans, that he ma struggle with the physical nature of the Championship, and seems like it was warranted.

Reach - 4 - Very quiet 1st half, but wasn't helped by Bannan disappearing in front of him. Decent start to the 2nd half, nice assist, but as the game went on, got exposed too often defensively.

Jones - 4 - He and Lee failed to get any control of the game in the 1st half. Struggled with the tempo of the game. Felt he was left with a lot to do on occasions, as Lee advanced too far forward too often.

Lee - 4 - Poor display. Played far too ambitiously in the 1st half. Too advanced too often, and the game bypassed him.

Bannan - 3 - At half time, he was a 1. Slightly improved 2nd half. Went missing in the 1st half, and was a key component to us not utilising United's weaknesses down the sides. Looked to make things tick in the 2nd half like he does when at his best, but ran out of steam, and when United switched to 4-3-3, Bannan struggled to dominate.

Wallace - 4 - Couldn't get into the game at all today really. Failed to find much space, and create very few links with Lee or Hunt. Assist for Hooper's goal however.

Hooper - 7 - The only player who started today, who can go home and sleep easy tonight. Along with Brooks, the best player on the pitch. Used the ball well, linked up, took his goal well, and was the only player to consistently find the half spaces between the lines. 5 in 5 now. Top player.

Fletcher - 5 - Did OK. Nothing more. Competed against their centre halves without getting much joy.

Joao - 6 - Added a touch of unpredictability to our play. Fabulously technically gifted player, who needs to play to improve his decision making. Took his goal superbly, but perhaps tried too much, too often after his goal (although it was like pissin in the wind).

Rhodes - Why bother? Why bother bringing him on to lump the ball up to him?! If that's what we want to do, bring Nuhiu on. At least his competes. Nothing against Rhodes, but this saga is becoming ridiculous now. Highest paid player and he's used as nothing more than a useless nuisance.

Carlos - An absolute shambles of a tactical display. I said before the game, it would be crucial we didn't get carried away with the occasion. Well we did... and it created a performance with no balance and no control. Totally naive. When have we ever, continually allowed ourselves to be exposed to 2 vs 2's time after time?! The players got totally sucked into the occasion, and didn't play their games.

Play the game, not the occasion!

Jones honestly doesn't even warrant a 1 after today, absolutely dreadful. It's as though he'll suffer an allergic reaction if he uses his right foot.

Darren potter mkII. I bet he's amazing in training, will skin peopke, tackle, just look r8 good

Put someone who wants to win the ball in real life near him....bottler. He literally has nothing about him. Great football technician. The worst football professional (on the pitch) I've ever seen.

Only players who can have any credit are Hooper and Joao who came on with a point to prove and I really have forgotten what he offers but he should be closer to the team than he is.

Westwood was horrendous on the first and third goals.

Hunt, Lees, van Aken and Reach were all atrocious. They all offered nothing. Not physical, no adventure on the ball.

Wallace being asked to play too narrow and that isn't his strength. Also having him on the right and constantly cutting back onto his left slows us down so much.

Lee... didn't notice he played today.

Jones... wasn't up for the battle. He looked a lost boy being bullied in midfield.

Bannan... never got into the game.

Hooper, fed off nothing all game. Constantly isolated from us packing the centre. Great finish.

Fletcher was poor. Another player who bullied in the air by there back 3.

Joao was brilliant to finally have some one who will run at people. Turn and commit people. Looked like his first year self. Back the lad he has everything to be a top forward.

Rhodes... fed off nothing. Isolated having too feed of scraps.
