33 Posted December 27, 2016 Share Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) Walk north from ground (from Sir Tom Finney statue) along Sir Tom Finney Way, over the lights, past Sainsbury's on your right and it is another 150 yds on right Mix of fans but no bother Go in left hand side door as you look at pub from road Gets packed and a lock out Unfortunately pub across road now shut so no overspill Another decent place for a drink is New Hall Tavern at Salmesbury Just off J31 towards Blackburn Top of dual carriageway and turn right at lights past brewery on right and pub on left Good beers and great food at cheap prices Rob the Landlord is an Everton fan and has a soft spot for us A few went here last year parking at fire station is favourite come in off J31 M6 towards Preston A59 Up dual lane road over river then up through woods, over top of hill then right at roundabout down Blackpool Rd (there's a pub Hesketh Arms on roundabout-don't even think about it) Follow road through lights and past car dealerships and fire station is on left opposite Deepdale retail park Plenty of street parking around the area but if you can, then get in here as decent getaway . We went in the New hall Tav last season thanks to 33 great pub good food . Adamant that i was not going to this but starting to waiver .
