Thought he was a rb by nature ? Clearly wrong sorry

Mate, no need to say sorry. I just know he's been a CB at Forest and think he went over to Germany for a season or so after leaving Chelsea and was either in the middle at the back or defensive midfield there too. I agree with your earlier argument though that pace is needed - plus it has to be quality too.

Be good if we can get Sergi Canos on loan from Liverpool , had a great season at Brentford and would give us some flair on the wing and could cover for Fessi.Klopp might want to give him a try this season though.

Along similar lines Jerome Sinclair only just gone to Watford from Liverpool, 6ft striker and needs game time , highly rated and might be possible to loan if Watford don't use him as back up for Deeney and Ighalo right away.

Nugent of a few seasons back as a starter sure but now as said, an able back up for Hooper and but no more.

2 questions:

1 - Can we have a separate thread for Can He Do A Job for us suggestions?

2 - Why do people suggest we sign players as cover? Surely that means not as good as what we have? Wouldn't we rather have players that can compete for a start?

Sorry, I realise that is more than 2 questions.

Completely agree with your second point. No point signing someone who won't improve the team.

Waddle's take on our transfer policy is that he expects us to sign four players, maybe five, a couple of which will be loans. He'd like to see us sign a few players that make people sit up and go wow. That's no easy feat in a division where clubs are spending £8m on a single player. He suggests we take a leaf out of Middlesborough's book, by adding real quality to the squad that lost the play offs
