The supermarket chain will close Claywheels Lane, Beeley Wood Road and part of Penistone Road northbound from 7pm to 6am. A diversion will take motorists from Claywheels Lane to Limestone Cottages Lane, Hagg Hill, Midhurst Road and Foxhill Road on to Penistone Road. Lorries which need access to businesses will be escorted through the area. A Sainsbury’s spokesman said: “We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued patience while we complete the road works. This will be the last time we need to carry out road closures or significant night works outside the site.†Who the hell authorises this stuff? TaffOwl
Which muppet would close a road when you have near on 20k people descending on the local area. There is no reason why the road could not have been closed after 10pm tonight with little impact on the planned work.

pahowl
The realist - Hagg hill looks to be on the diversion route. It would appear the diversion route only affects traffic wanting to get onto Penistone Road from Claywheels lane or Beeley Wood road, From re-reading it , It would appear the Penistone road southbound will be unaffected , but northbound lanes may be closed

HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU
I wouldn't worry about it The new traffic light system that replaced the roundabout at Leppings Lane is so bad The majority of people will get nowhere near Clay Wheels Lane. Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.
