Leaping Lannys Perm
As someone who probably pays £500+ on away travel a year, I would more than welcome this.

Brilliant gesture definitely but they have significant income to be able to do this. Would still go by my own means even if we did it.
Eaton_Swfc
Thing is. If we did that, every other club would be like “oh they only brought so many because it was free travel" when we all know we've been.doing it years £
Inspector Lestrade
Trouble is will people travel once they have taken the offer away? I think it will have a negative effect in the long run.

Would still go by my own means even if we did it. It's not really a brilliant gesture. The 200k is only a response to customer complaints about away fans being screwed. If fair prices were charged the gesture wouldn't be needed, but that would set them back more than £200k.

southportdc
If we did this some flaps would complain we didn't buy a player with the money
Tamworthowl
How many other teams do it then? No idea. All prem teams (I assume) spend the £200k one way or another. As the other article says, not everyone can benefit from free or cheap coach travel. Stoke have opted for this way to spend their money. Whatever way they spend it, £200k is not at lot in the scheme of things at PL level, and the away fan experience would be much better enhanced if the HOME team just set lower prices for visiting fans in the first place. matthefish2002
Well done Stoke. It is about time football took better care of they fans rather then trying to fleece them at every corner.

LiamK2292
Good touch from Stoke, wish we'd do something like this for at least 1 away game per season. Fans need to be rewarded.
