Forest huge price increases

Recommended Posts

Surprised this hasn’t been posted already

great example of screwing fans for as much as they can, despite huge PL money

cheapest ST £550……….

Premier League strugglers Nottingham Forest's increase in season ticket prices for the 2024-25 season has been strongly criticised by a fans group.

An adult season ticket in Zone One of the Brian Clough Upper stand has increased by 28% while a child's season ticket has increased by up to 111%.

Nottingham Forest Supporters' Trust said it "strongly opposes" the rise.

It added the average price increases are "totally disproportionate to the current inflation rate".

The inflation rate in the UK is currently 3.2%.

The most expensive adult ticket for next season at Forest, who have five games left and are at risk of Premier League relegation, costs £850.

That season ticket, in Zone One of the club's new pricing bands, is up from £660 this season, while the cheapest has increased from £465 to £550.

Apparently forest now have 30,000 waiting list now they’re in PL

thats 30,000 who couldn’t be bothered to go when in the championship for however many years…..

so forest can now use that to proper screw the loyal fans who DID go regularly

football stinks

Looks like it's not 30,000, but 11,000

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68835277#:~:text=Forest say they have an,money in the Premier League.

That's a lot though.

Regardless, those season ticket prices are appalling.

Professional football is all about money now. That's all that matters.

Find it ironic when ticket prices increase that, people want to support players (understandable obviously) but those same players are probably a large factor in ticket prices shooting up.

Clubs want to attract players / offer daft wages / fans charged through the nose for it

Would actually laugh if they go down now, then let's see what happens to those 30,000!

Also yet another foreign owned club, personally I blame Brexit (well someone has to)!

Actually agree with this.

Reminds me of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL, suddenly everyone wanted a ticket when they signed Tom Brady and season tickets went up, but they froze the prices for anyone who’d bought one pre 2019 and the new fans had to pay a premium

We can be shocked

We can be disgusted
We can be surprised

We can be amazed

We can laugh at it

But we all know our chairman would do even worse to our fans should we go up

If L1 did one thing it showed who the real fans are at Pride Park. My brother went straight out and brought a season ticket the moment they went on sale after our relegation, that is true support. Forest have a waiting list because they've been doing well and the owner splashing the money on Prem promotion, none of them will be waiting if they're relegated trust me. The comment that sticks in my head from a Forest fan is "we ain't just paying £550 for us, we're paying it to watch big clubs play at the City Ground".. football is sick at the top, proper supporters of the club get pushed out so ar3eholes like the commenter can ogle at overpaid for prima donnas.

Same with Mel Morris. He was desperate to mix it in the big club, he was never interested in the club he was only interested in his own ego and money.

We should all encourage new supporters to join us instead of frightening them off with exorbitant prices

keep prices reasonable.

Thing is, they’re  still quite reasonable compared to ours and the supporters trust might be listened to.

They also spend money on players and invest in facilities, etc.
