jonnyowl
I'm not sure it was one of those days. We look completely devoid of ideas and creativity going forward and have absolutely nothing without Fletcher. We've done well at times because of our defence but since Dawson has come back in we've looked vulnerable. Look at the match today and the difference in passing, ours was sideways, backwards, passing to people with their backs to goal, sloppy most of the time where as Blackburns was positive crisp, playing people into space on the front foot. Monks got to be given time and time to mould his own squad, but I haven't seen much getting better under him.

It was just one of those days. Move on and forget about it. Not gonna happen again whilst Monk is here. We were shiete with 11 men on the pitch. Guest Theboylangers
When everything goes our way, we can look almost brilliant. But when it doesn't, we look absolutely shocking. We are a very strange team this season.

Different game entirely 11v11. No surprise to see you going against the majority yet again but surely it must make you think twice about how you are viewing the game if everyone else who was there - including our own manager who said we were poor 11 v 11 - see it completely differently from you. How can they come off a great victory away with all the passion showed after final whistle to a dour display like this.. I think the atmosphere has lots to do with it. After the passionate high playing away they come home to dour Hillsborough.. It's up to the fans to create an atmosphere but it's dire. Utter crap. Our fans pay a ridiculous amount of money to watch that kind of tepid performance. Do you expect Hillsborough to erupt at the thought of another 100 yard long ball from a centre back. Isn’t it about time this set of players got us off our seats for a change?
Hirstys Salopettes
At any decent level, if you don’t compete you get tore a new one The lack of intensity on the pitch was matched by only one thing ... the lack of intensity in the dugout SWFC 2020 ... one big gravy train for the many
Woodyowl450
literally one those days yeah - one of those days where we dont bother turning up at home. which is getting far too bloody usual. Win or lose isnt really the main issue for me today, losing is part of the game ain't it but stepping out into Hillsborough not even half assed and not even putting an ounce of a shift in is absolutely ridiculous. Musn't Grumble
The announcement at halftime asking home fans to vacate the stadium via Penistone Road exits sort of summed up the entire afternoon.

Poor first 10 but started getting into game, then the ref played his part which effectively killed the game there and then. With 10 men too we cant even take much from this. Move on and forget quickly. I first saw Wednesday in 1961 and today's performance was NOT just one of those days. It stands alongside any of the most inept and limp performances within that period including a 0-5 defeat to Arsenal in the 60s which would have been worse had not McClaren saved a pen. This type of performance will probably spoken of in similar terms in 20 years time as featuring in worst performances in living memory. The thread title seriously underplays just how shameful that performance was.
