Was always the plan.  And he didn't sell us to absolutely anyone , esp. that bloke from Azerbaijan

Most owners would take what they could get and cut and run.  He didn't . DC has his issues but it very well could have been much, much  worse.

He agreed a sale with our friend from Azerbaijan - even pre-empted this with the offer of shirt sponsorship that never came to owt - how embarrassing is that; championship shirt sponsorship for nothing - makes DC look like shrewd businessman.

Most foreign owners have their faults - DC is no exception. His main faults is extreme naivety.

And stubbornness.

Add the two together and it's a recipe for disaster.

yes - true. Reminds me of the knight with ever decreasing arms and legs in MP's Holy Grail. Hope his money tree keeps flowering every Spring though...

You know what, we’ve lost points in the last 10-15 mins of so many games recently. Add those points, even half of those points and we’d be in the play off places and the whole feel amongst the club and fanbase would be totally different. There wouldn’t be people criticising DC.

It’s not DC’s fault that we’ve not seen games out recently. We’ve come so close to grinding the points out in games that previously we would have already lost by the hour mark. We are getting better, we are now close but not quite close enough. The margins are so fine. I genuinely believe Monk is the right man for the job and I think DC appointed well.

Would not shock me if it turned out MM took a fee from Doylem.

They slipped into the club a little too easily for my liking, and the timing smelled bad.

All just speculation and in no way portrayed as fact.

Thought it was common knowledge that Doyen came from a MM recommendation

Yes, but in fairness we've tried the "experienced guys, hard-nosed players" approach already, and it didn't work

They're expensive (wages) and insist on three-year deals

But they're only good for about 18 months

They're liable to break down completely after two years (or straight away in Abdi's case) and have no re-sale value whatsoever

Would explain Carlos' signings
