It's really easy this fantasy football lark isn't it?

Wake up ya fairy.

If a manager is not performing he goes. You dont hold on to him because you cant afford to sack him.

Whenever have you heard of that before?

Reach = £15m.

Clubs in a lot worse position that we find ourselves in sacked managers off. Stop talking nackers course we can sack him n get someone else in. Biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard nobody is unsackable.

Quite right. Shout angrily enough and the financial situation becomes a non-factor.

8 to 9 million wrote off straight away if we go down, so yes we can afford to sack him and get someone in to stabilise us and build under a proper manager

Wishing for something really hard does not make it any more likely. If we are at, or even beyond, the league's financial constraints, then the amount relegation would cost is a total irrelevance. Of course, I don't know the exact position we are in, but the signs are there that we cannot afford the kind of significant pay-off that a change in manager could bring about.

The point @CF83OWL was trying to make that you won’t accept is that it’s not a significant pay-off on this years FFP. You’re probably looking at  two to three hundred thousand tops.

...and if the club is already at or beyond the limits imposed on it? Then what?

Still some people putting their faith in some kind of collective wish fulfilment rather than reality.

Sell someone of very little value in Jan. around 300k should cover it.

This is not fantasy football. So you reckon we can just force someone to pay maybe quarter of a million for Fox, Palmer, Jones or whoever?

I’m sure at least one of our squad would fetch 300k. In fact I’d fancy one of the youngsters fetching half a million. If not you sell a big player. You’ve stated yourself what the alternative is.

Presumably the point is to make the team better? So sacking Luhukay and selling Reach or Bannan for example will achieve that then?

STOP BEING CUTE WITH THE HIRES.

YOU ARENT PLUCKING A GEM FROM THE CYPRIOT SECOND LEAGUE NEXT TIME.

This is what I’m most worried about, when DC does decide to pull the trigger

We can’t afford to go with this approach again, it’ll take us down. 13 wins in 46 is wretched. Get someone in who knows the league

I remember when Charlton went down a couple years back. They had a succession of 3/4 unknown managers on their way to relegation, this just feels so familiar

The point that you have obviously missed is that the team would be better by sacking JL. I was merely pointing out that @CF83OWL was correct when he stated that it wouldn’t cost a significant amount of money in this years FFP to sack him. Blimey it’s like going around in circles debating with you. WTF:

BUT IT STILL MIGHT COST MORE THAN THE LEAGUE WILL ALLOW !?

You just keep closing your eyes and wishing things were the way you want them though. Good luck with that.

How much would it cost?

What's a significant amount?
