JOS OUT!

That was a tactical masterclass, Villa tried moving Grealish into the hole in the second half so Jos sticks Hector a few yards further up the pitch to counteract it. This bloke has had nothing to spend, been dealt a cack hand and has had to rely on young kids, what a job he's doing. Anyone that's been saying he's clueless are clueless themselves.

Glad I wasn't the only one that spotted it... only time Grealish did anything in the first half was on that one occasion he was able to get away from Pelupessy and draw a foul from Penney who had found himself on our right hand side to close him down. Then Brucey alters it to try and get Grealish on the ball, and Jos just shrugs his shoulders and tells Hector to not be afraid to break ranks from Pudil and Lees and once again, fartphase is shut out. And again, the only time Grealish really did anything in the second half was when he was on the other side of the pitch to Pelupessy and he got at Baker isolated away from the mini man-mountain Hector, and even then it came to nowt.

Every single player covered each other's weaknesses in the defensive phases of play brilliantly. It was less about work-rate and application and more about discipline and covering each other. The balance and tactics were spot on.

None of which was happening against forest.

Joe clearly knows his shizzle but he is going to need time and as fans we need to give the guy a break so that he gets the time.

Exciting things in store for us.

Atm it feels like he could be the special one we’ve waited for, just a shame we have the financial issues but hopefully with FF, Hooper, Abdi, Lee, Winnall, Hutch still to come back Jos can still achieve great things with us

10 out of 10 for optimism if you think that Abdi and Hutch (and possibly Lee) will be back! Even so I think Jos has what it takes to make it work.
