Bluesteel
Quite frustrating that. I expected us to struggle with the first 11 but sounds as if we were quite dominant and senior players failed to close the game out. Perhaps a bit of inexperience cost us toward the end. I'd have liked us to do ok in the cup as it can make a few quid but seeing as it cost us a big injury last season there are positives to take. aeroswfc
Cambridge United 2-1 Wednesday (Joao 52). Possession: 46-54 Shots on target: 5-3 Shots off target: 6-16 Corners: 11-13 Fouls: 4-12 Yellow cards: 1-1 Red cards: 0-0 Wildsmith, Palmer, Vermijl, O'Grady, Helan, Buckley, Semedo, Wallace (Murphy 86), Sougou (Hooper 46), Nuhiu, Joao (Hirst 92). Subs not used: Kean, Clare, Stobbs, Thorniley. Well done Wednesday. Unlucky Cambridge United. That's second time we've been knocked out of a cup competition by a Lower League side. Disappointing. George
I think this is the first time I've ever felt relieved at conceding a last minute winner.

Earlsfieldowl
So predictable - once they equalised there was only going to be one winner. We should have wrapped this up ages ago - people laughing at Dave's miss, well, its wasted another half a hour play and cost us the game. It just isnt funny anymore when is costs us games/points. Got to put away chances more regularly, simple as that but it proves out back up just isnt good enough. We do need 3/4 more players. Well done Cambridge - now on to Norwich.
