daveyboy66
It could be a short term/long term thing. Gray is supposed to have spoken to the owners - he's discussed both. Maybe he's suggested we plod on with the current set up. Look around in the summer. He'll make do for now. I presume both he and the owners think that the season is effectively over, now. If the strikers he wants are tied up why get someone in as a substitute...why not take a gamble on an up and coming kid...perhaps from Romania for instance...OR like many on here think we could just DEMAND that clubs give us their assets

Guest wilyfox
Slade said Kenwyne would only move if they received a ridiculous offer. They weren't touting him around.

Guest domSWFC
We could have Benzema nad Lewendowski and we wouldn't score. We don't make chances for our strikers! May, is a finisher. Madine, is a finisher. Look how many Madine banged in with Marshall providing. Get a couple of decent wingers, and we will score.
trevdi9
If the strikers stay around the box instead of chasing all over because they are'nt getting the ball delivered we just might get a chance on scoring the goals ,how many times do we see May doing the wingers job ,instead of being in the box awaiting the cross he can't convert out there ,
SallyCinnamon
...mid-table...options on the bench...poor home form but developing a decent squad...frustrating but hardly worth all the hand wringing is it... This basically
gurujuan
If we are gambling on unproven strikers because we keep getting turned down by the proven ones, don't be surprised if they fail to measure up None of our strikers have come anywhere near to showing championship consistency. Nuhiu, May, Lavery and Madine all lack that extra bit of quality needed at this level Will Bus and Keane step up? It's too early to tell, but there's a hell of a lot of pressure on them to do so Edited February 15, 2015 by gurujuan

gurujuan
It's sad news for the lad Not sure he was the answer though and in the two games I've seen, he was largely anonymous
Guest wilyfox
Keane has talent; whether he can stave off injury for long enough to fulfil his potential is another matter. Wouldn't wish injury on anyone, but from a selfish point of view Gray may get another crack at bringing someone else in to make a bigger impact. gurujuan
It's vital they have either experience or pace Both would be good, but the former is preferable
Glaser
Come on ..... It is the pitch .... Look at Blackpool ... sheffwed1
Wingers all way??? Strikers need to work in 18 yard box, but without this we aren't gonna mov forward! I'm having a think about this. I can only think of 3 real quality players.b Westwood Lees Mcgugan. Some decent squad players Lee Semedo Helen At a push you might say Hutchinson zayatte Really not sure the rest are up to much. Guest Deleted member
May spends far too much time on the wing chasing the ball. He needs to get in the box and stay there. He can't cross it to himself ffs Times we have the ball on the wing and there's nobody in the box is embarrassing

We won't solve our goalscoring problem anytime soon, we'll not with our existing personnel
