Ched getting sent down had absolutely no affect whatsoever on the 32 points out of 36 that was finally needed to get us up and achieved by Jones. If the assumption is that the pigs would have got more points had Ched not been sent down, then that would have been the same problem regardless of whether it was Megson or Jones trying to deal with it. The only difference being, at no stage during Megson's time did we look remotely like achieving 32 points from 36. Under Jones, we did. 33 Posted May 29, 2015 Author Share Posted May 29, 2015 Megson took a club in disarray and turned the whole organisation around, club, team and fans into a focussed unit with only one thing in mind which was winning. Despite some bumps along the way he took that rabble of a team and club from a shambles to promotion contenders in a season delivering our best home record in living memory. Demo started to demolish everything that had been achieved, with his input, by the fourth game of the next season. Everything was there to see at that home game against Birmingham. COG and Rhodri would have torn that division apart but Demo had to back his Ego and remove as many of the Meggo players as possible and he tore the heart out of the club within months. Bothroyd was one of his most ludicrous decisions that killed team spirit and lost him respect of the fan base. He then went on to make things worse by embarking on two of the worst runs in our history and all the while nipping down to Cardiff rather than the training ground. Gray has done a sterling job recovering the situation but we can all see the limitations.
