Not to mention his time as manager where in a very short period of time turned us around from an absolute shower under irvine to third in the league and breathing down the pigs necks (and you just knew they would bottle it). On what basis is Irvines record similar to Megsons? Irvine won 24 out of 59. Megson won 28 out of 62. Many of Irvines were in the Championship. Not a huge difference ay.
