Guest Hamy33
The reason we failed to take three points was down to a school boy error in the last minute of added time. If Maguire puts the ball in row z we win, he didn't which cost us. Edited August 20, 2014 by Hamy33
Guest Fedor
1. We were too pedestrian going forward from midfield, leaving nuhiu and may absolutely naff-all to work with. 2. The ref 3. Same as against derby, we were absolutely shattered last 15 mins, leading to the sloppy defending for the goal. 4. We had no bench options to help, helan is garbage as a winger, should only ever play at left back, and madine contributed nothing. 5. We couldn't cope with Millwall's physicality, they did their homework and worked out if they hounded out nuhiu that would be a major piece of our play gone. 6. Maghoma dithered and dithered in good positions. 7 newwho missed another sitter
Bluesteel
If you take it into the corner ( with the entire team backing you up) make sure you dont then lose it and get countered. Just boot it out if needs be and let everyone get back into position. I was pretty harsh on Helan last night but looking at it again I dont think he was at fault. They were all stretched, Mattock's header back upfield was weak but again he was stretched from the counter.
geriatricowl
I'd go with the quality of the pass from their LB, Carlos Edwards brilliant run, Fullers skill in the box and Gueye's finishing. Well worked goal. Take it on the chin. Spot on ! Why must we look for someone to blame, it was a really well worked goal, credit where credit is due, most unfortunate to concede so late in the game but we are moving in the right direction. Rome wasn't built in a day .

Rome wasn't built in a day . Yeah. Was a good goal. Wish someone had just kicked it off their man for a throw when we had it in the corner though! Just a bloke. Being dragged along in a world that moves too quick for it's own good.

Hack-Abusi
The reason we dropped 2 points last night? Simple. Trying to take up time keeping the ball in the corner instead of hoofing it into touch! Maguire tried to occupy the corner, gave the ball away and they broke away and scored. With seconds remaining on the clock, the ball opught to have been put in the top of either the Kop or the South Stands. Simple football logic. The reason we failed to take three points was down to a school boy error in the last minute of added time. If Maguire puts the ball in row z we win, he didn't which cost us. this all year long maguire's pish poor attempt at holding the ball up causing problems for everyone .. kick the f*cker into the crowd or against some legs for christ's sake .. Bluesteel
Last night brought back memories of a few similarly bad last minute goals Brighton away- wasn't there but nipped for a pi£$ on 90 mins and came back to meltdown on twitter Millwall at home last season - I was on the north and still remember Dave jones going bananas Huddersfield - reda and Rhodes, watching the Leppings lane go mental from the kop was a sickener at the time Walsall - Boxing Day let down Years prior - Matt Lawrence of palace lobbing lee grant in a blizzard. Couldn't see the other side of the ground but you could just hear the sound of seats flying back into place as depressed fans stood up silently and trudged out We've had a lot of this! ReginaldD
Because we both scored the same amount of goals hence the game was a draw.
FreshOwl
flipping hell, people don't need to overanalyse every match. There are variables which are out of our control. Were a decent side in this league, it's not gonna be 10/10 every week from the players
Guest londonowl1
We would of lost if they scored the penalty, so we must be happy with a point. Excellent start to the season considering our squad is weak. Gray doing a fantastic job
Cosmo
1) Maghoma doesn't know how to pass the ball. Or shoot at the right moment. 2) Hutchinson got a bad back 3) Madine didn't work hard enough when he came on, Nuhiu was chasing around much more. 4) Referee had a shocker 5) Helan over committed in the lead up to their goal. 6) half time challenge muted the atmosphere 7) Because you touch yourself at night
BRUCE LEE
I don't get the stance that he should have kicked it out? We have more than one football in the ground.
Bluesteel
I think if we had put it out of touch then we wouldn't have been as stretched on the counter. Losing the ball there took a few players out of the game and allowed them to put an awkward diagonal ball to the far side. They did still have a lot of work to do in order to score but we seemed to be scrambling a bit. But as has been said, we had good intentions taking the ball into the corner. Bahrain Owl
The reason Wednesday throw away so many last minute equalisers is because they have the belief of sitting back on a one goal lead. The basic principle of the game is to score more goals than your opponent. One of the reasons is that when the click ticks down it is far, far harder to score more than one goal to compensate and get a point or score two and take all three. In short, we still lack that killer instinct - make a mockery of the visitors attitude - oh....and we don't have the quality strikers to be able to do it. (The reasons for this is a different thread) And, NO....I don;t go to the matches but also NO....nobody has to to see where it is failing. Cheers!! Guest The Horse
That's football. And why we love it. Can't blame Maguire - he was doing exactly what he should be doing. 9 times out of ten, their player doesn't get the lucky flick. Annoying but so is life. We move on.
