What don't you understand about the fact the takeover is already done? It's signed. It's sealed. It's delivered. We're just waiting on the FL and that's it.

As for your source. I don't believe for 1 second he knows what's going on. And IF he were involved with Milan and the deal, then he's very unprofessional to tell you. Anyone else who isn't involved in the deal Milan won't have told. But again I come back to the FACT the deal is already signed and done, it's not really difficult to understand.

I'd agree but that's got nothing to do with me though has it?

Fair enough, I don't expect you to believe me or my source, if I was in your shoes, I'd be the same - there are too many WUM's on here.

Just to clarify things even more, and to demonstrate that people claiming the takeover is about to collapse are speaking rubbish....

http://www.swfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-sheffield-wednesday-announce-takeover-confirmation-1628989.aspx

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club are delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached which will see ownership of the Club pass from Chairman Mr Milan Mandaric to Mr Hafiz Mammadov.

Mr Mammadov, a former member of The Azerbaijan Football Association and current owner of FC Baku and RC Lens, spoke exclusively to swfc.co.uk explaining his pleasure at agreeing a deal with Milan Mandaric to take full control of the Owls.

He said: "I am immensely pleased and proud to have agreed a deal to buy this wonderful Club."

The founder and Chairman of the hugely successful Baghlan Group which specialises in oil, gas, construction and transportation commented further: "I am a passionate football fan with enormous respect for English football. I have been looking at investing in England for some time but I was determined to find the right Club.

"I am hugely ambitious and feel the Owls match my passion and desire for success and represent our motto of Azerbaijan Land of Fire. I promise the supporters I will work extremely hard to bring the success everyone so rightly craves."

Chairman Milan Mandaric gave his reaction to the deal and explained his decision to pass control to the new owner, saying: “I am delighted to have concluded a deal with Hafiz, he is a true football man and I have no doubt whatsoever that I am handing over control to someone with a real passion for the game and the ability to carry on the work I started three years ago to return Sheffield Wednesday back to the top division of English football. It’s something that the wonderful supporters of this Club deserve having remained so loyal throughout the difficult times prior to my arrival."

He went on to say: "On my first day at the Club I promised the supporters two things; firstly I would ensure that when I left we would be in far better shape than when I arrived and more importantly, that I would only hand over ownership when I found the right man for the Club and I sincerely believe I have delivered on both undertakings."

The deal is still subject to ratification by the Football League and during that process Mr Mammadov and his team will become involved in the operation of the Club, ensuring the best possible preparation for the new season, something all involved are anxious to achieve.

No further comment will be made at this point. The Club asks its supporters for patience while the formal requirements are completed but Mr Mammadov has promised that as soon as it is appropriate he will discuss further his vision for the Club.

Never said it did have anything to do with you. I was more emphasising the point that Milan wouldn't do business with people who blabber, and in any case there will be confidentially agreements from everyone involved.

I move a lot of concrete on the QVC.

So to hypothesise what is ACTUALLY happening;

  • Mammadov has officially bought the club from Mandaric
  • Mammadov and his team are currently involved in the running of the club
  • Deals for new players ARE lined up, but for obvious reasons cannot be announced just yet
  • All that remains is for the FL to check that Mammadov's resources are legitimate (something Mandaric has already done) before they ratify him.

Therefore, there is absolutely nothing to panic about regarding the takeover of the club. It has happened. It will not break down. The hold-up is the FL. It will go through.

You're right, but do you seriously think that means people will not talk?  For the record, I've not been told the deal is about to collapse

Of course people will talk. How do you think the story broke out in the first place?

I don't see the great fuss about this. I really don't. And I'm the biggest f*cking drama queen on here.

I fail to see any facts suggesting it won't go through.

The only facts I see are that Mammadov owns the club and the FL will ratify it soon.

I know people talk, they always have and always will.  That's why someone’s opinion that I’m talking bullshit because of a "confidentiality agreement" is perhaps as naive as me taking someone's word as gospel.

Yes if their proper business people and professionals. Milan wouldn't do business with someone who would break a confidentiality agreement. It's that simple.

And they won't talk to anyone about it for the same reason you won't say who he is on here, on top of the fact they would void their pay if they did talk, why would they even risk it, especially as you've already said he's not even a mate, yet he tell you, yeah right. lol

Use your head. And you also keep ignoring the fact the deal is already DONE.

The takeover will go through. The club has already been sold. The only difficulty is that Mammadov needs to be double-checked by the FL before he's appointed.

Simple as that.

The takeover WONT collapse.

The best post you have ever made

Hope it's not his best, but as they say thing's can only get better.

Ok so this person is 'close' to Milan. Well unless it's Paul Aldridge who will be involved in the deal there's no f00kin chance Milan would be telling everyone he knows what's going on. He's a professional business man for god sake. You'd have to be pretty naive to believe that, so good luck to ya.

And also this isn't an issue of the takeover having not happened, it's already signed. It's done. We're waiting for information to be provided to the FL so they can approve it.

They guy is misinformed or just plain talking sh-te to you.

You don't understand what Jungle does for a living....

Is this right does he actually own the club?  Or does the deal depend on "ratification" being confirmed?  Genuine question.

I think it means he wants to buy the club but the FL have to let him but bearing in mind they let that bloke buy Leeds I don't see it being a promble
