SWFC_Liam
Some right simpletons there today, one bloke was trying to start a fight with the steward after the referee gave a foul to Donny. Anyone else see that?
kidc77
I have said this several times and been shot down on here..... I want to take my kids to matches my wife doesn't want me too, I took the wife to 2 games and she said it was disgraceful both times at nothing matches little eruptions of trouble and loads of swearing. When I was young I have been to away matches and probably been a little over excited but if I ever saw kids around it was toned down. Its sad but our games are not kid friendly even the kids areas are full of idiots at home games Edited March 22, 2014 by kidc77
SWFC_Liam
To be fair there are no kid areas at away games, and if you don't expect swearing at a match you are very silly.
kidc77
And the above quote is why it will never be a kids sport at Wednesday
Bleeder
Must have ruined what was a fairly grim day in any case - decided not to take my boys (11 and 12 years old.) Two lads in front of us about the same age as mine effin and blinding all match. Their father never turned a hair....

Hillsborough is fine though hardly see any bother at home games and if there is you can just move away from it.

NormOwl
Not condoning the actions of the few but whats with all the fake outrage at people getting drunk? Several near us who couldn't even stand up, there's drunk then there's paralytic
NeonLeon
Some proper jebs there today. Most were either under 18 or well over 40. Embarrassing. They put me off away games nevermind a 7 year old. People are absolute idiots at football. Sharp brought out all the knobs, we should've netted them all then! Could've thrown them back in the Don when we got back. RichieB
2 wrongs don't make a right imo just belittle the sod True, but sometimes people are that thick they wouldn't understand that their being belittled, this guy sounds like one of em.
SWFC_Liam
People are going over the top from both corners, the PC/Do gooders/prawn sarnie brigade are making it out to be worse than it was, and the lets have a laugh and get pissed bridade aren't arsed. It was worse than usual, but I've seen far worse than that at an away match.
shandypants
... I hope you are on Owlstalk and feel like a real big man after putting your hands on a seven year old little girl. All because some guy walked past you and didn't say excuse me. This was such an offence to you that you deemed it acceptable to grab hold of my daughter and drag her off her seat so that you could get to the guy who walked past you. And because I defended my daughter and dragged your hands off of her you decided it was a good idea start giving me threats and took a swing at me. And best of all, you really proved what a big man you were by completely backing down when it became obvious that the entire crowd was ready to turn on you. Suddenly you had "slipped" despite the fact that you spent the pervious 2 minutes threatening me as I tried to comfort my daughter and swung for me twice. Well I hope you are happy anyway. Now my daughter, who comes to nearly every game home and away and has been to about 35 games already this season is too scared and doesn't want to come anymore. I hope you feel like a big man now you parasitic ******* stinky flaps! Sorry Leaping Lannys Perm. I negged your post by mistake (with my stupid fat thumb). What a fool I am. I hope that your daughter is ok and feels that she can return to the match. Can one of the mods undo my mistake? If so can you please do so? SWFC_Liam
In response to the op though, I hope the bloke involved is punished. Picking on 7 year old kids is pathetic.
Guest Retfordowl74
I've been to my fair share of away games and always love the banter but there did seem a higher percentage of knobs there today. I love a drink too and not slagging anyone for been drunk but the attitude of sine wasn't down to drink or drugs they were just complete simpletons. Bet Donny town centre will be fun tonight! Sad really but no way would I take my daughter to an away game and I'm not saying your wrong for doing so.... just wouldn't do it myself Hope she gets over it and wants to go again
kidc77
Liam seriously because you have seen worse at away games this isn't a problem? Wait until you have kids, because if you do want to bring them up right then you will not be taking them to our games, if you think that taking kids to football with mindless meaningless swearing and fighting is ok then I simply am staggered, and no this isn't a isolated situation I have seen things that make me cringe for years at our games from both our supporters and the opposition

No fighting isn't acceptable, but it's just what happens. There's nothing we can do to stop it as morons will always be morons unless we ban them. kidc77
It doesn't make it right though Liam, I have been to many away games with plenty of rowdy drunk people, we never disrespected anyone and if we saw younger kids we tried to move or calmed down, its respect and we have so many fans not just ours either now who have no respect and its frightening. Its not much better at home games apart from less fighting
