PopePiusX
Graeme Lee. . . ran like he was towing a caravan. Would have been a genuinely top player had he had any pace at all. Did the Cameron Jerome thread remind you of this?
helmut_rooster
Absolutely no argument about it, Chris 'Cement Legs' Sedgwick. Still convinced he's got prosthetic legs. Cement Legs
mcmigo
Andy Sinton was criminally slow for an international winger. Jon McCarthy's legs were gone when he turned up on loan, as had Stuart Ripleys. But Purse is the outright winner of this thread - the Watford away game when they came at us at pace with Lansbury et al for 90 minutes was the nadir, I lost count of the number of times Purse was absolutely skinned in that match. Taximark
I remember when we played Wimbledon on a Wednesday night when Booth was playing. I think there were a number of European games on the same night, so the club gave an extra free ticket to each season ticket holder. I ended up taking a mate of mine who isn't a Wednesdayite. A ball went over the top and Booth "chased" after it. The defender caught and over took him over about 10 yards. My mate was like "how can someone that slow play in the premier league?". What was more extraordinary was the fact he ended up at Spurs Was that the game Kinnier had a heart attack?

Bearwood Owl1
Lee Bullen (much as I loved him) - legs went in his final year. I liked Booth. I remember focussing on him in a game against Chelsea in the relegation year. We scraped a 1-0 win and Booth bossed Marcel Dessailly all game. I'm not sure if Desailly knew what hit him but it certainly showed him the physical side of the English game!
