swfc-dan
Loved it when Beevs burst out from the back and started playing short quick passes to our midfielders. Man mountain last night, seems that potential still is there.
Paul Triplo
I reckon he will be one of the first names on the team sheet by mid season.
camffiti
I reckon he will be one of the first names on the team sheet by mid season. It's an odd situation for me ... Last season I felt more comfortable seeing Rob Jones on the team sheet, than Beevers. However, when I saw the team news last night, I felt more comfortable knowing Beevers was playing instead of Gardner - Maybe due to Nicola Zigic, I don't know
Thurnscoe_OWL
made an effort to keep a close eye on McCabe and was very surprised when i saw Beevers actually passing the ball to him rather than just kicking it anywhere, this allowed us to play the passing game (controlled by McCabe). The Beevers/Llera partnership should be our first choice because Gardner hasn't looked all that so far
Gude
Someone near me hit the nail on the head last night. Said he went boobies up when playing with purse because he was having to do his own job and half of purses job at the same time.
M Royds
Good player ruined by Brian Laws and regaining the potential he obviously held. Same can be said for JJ. DJ's not daft in renewing their contracts as he can spot true potential.
PeteG_1984
Beevers has been a different class since returning from MK Dons and playing under DJ He was always pretty solid but quite limited. Since then he's played at left-back pretty well, offered more going forward and improved his distribution (this still needs a bit of work tbh)
i used to be sc_owl
Needs some work on his passing but was impressed with his general performance.
DeeeeeJ
Fantastic to see Beevers back to what we all know he can do last night. Very solid performance, think Gardner may struggle to get back in.
steelowl
Looked strong, confident and experienced. I was impressed. so was I tbh I was dreading him having a crap game but instead the lad made a good claim for the shirt
Guest shortpebble
Good performance from Beevers but if people thought he was better than llera then they clearly were not at the game! Llera never puts a foot wrong at cb, class act and definitely our unsung hero. Beevers to keep his place ahead of Gardner for me but I do worry when king got the wrong side of him a few times he didn't have the pace so he was pulling him down and on another day could have had one or two bookings. PraiseOrGrumble
Thought he did pretty well coming back into the side at the back end of last season and it's good to see him cary on where he left off. Looked dependable and assured last night.
SiJ
I thought him and Llera were exceptional last night.
LiamK2292
Played really well. Top lad. I would keep him in the team for Saturday.
TheBoyBeevers
Did very well- Zigic and King would have made mincemeat out of him 2-3 years ago when he was at his lowest ebb. Huge credit has to go to Llera as well, who was picking Zigic up and won that battle despite giving away about 3 or so inches in height.
