heard today he's probably fractured his heel but the swelling won't go down

so they may have to wait another week or so before they can take an x-ray.

if it is confirmed as a fracture then he'll have to keep any pressure of it for

at least 3 month.

hope my info's wrong on this one.

Heard today from whom? Paul Smith? O'Grady himself? One of the medical or coaching staff?

Why would swelling prevent a break showing up on a x-ray. More like they want him to have a CT scan which they will need to wait until any swelling goes down, which would give them an idea how long he will be out for.

That won't help Mandaric's mood when it comes to spending money on strikers will it? Something like £300,000 to get him here in the first place and then three months salary on top of that for about half an hour's football. And now presumably we'll have to loan someone at even more expense.

Where's Scram when you need him?

BTW don't most breaks swell up and aren't they X rayed straight away?

Actually it can. When I did my ankle ligaments they looked for a break but had to redo scan a week later due to swelling

yup, but most breaks or fractures arent always visible due to the amount of bruising/swelling, depending on where the injury is. nothing sinister about multiple scans or xrays normally.

If this is true then it's just unbelievable..

Megson said he kinda rushed him back...

O'Grady said he wanted to play...

Paul Smith advice not to play him...

And now we could be without him for months?
