He didn't really strengthen in that dept in close season and he's played about with Buxton in there on off. Could anyone else see both Johnson and Morrison becoming to starting centre backs in the not too distant future? Looks like he's building a wall at the back. He didn't really strengthen in that dept in close season and he's played about with Buxton in there on off. I posted in another thread, I think that Morrison was his first choice and wants him now to provide competition/replace for Beevers or Purse now. Purse's contract is up at end of season and I don't think it will be renewed and Reda is his replacement but decided to act now because of Plymouth's finanicial plight and competition from other clubs. Same with Hinds. Beevers, Buxton, purse, Johnson and Morrison can all play centre back. Spurr, Semi, Jones, Morrison, Buxton can all play full back. If he sells he will need to replace - thats only just enough defenders. Would have liked us to have got Nolan in Summer, or SSL if we can in january.
