BIG D
He's had a pop at Barca today saying that they have an obsession about winning the Champions League in Madrid. This will be relayed to their players by Pep Guardiola and as a result they are going to try harder tonight. When will they learn? (not to be confused with when Sir Alex does it 'cos he's the master of 'mind games')

BIG D
You're talking shyite. Fantastic from Mourinho - Proper wind 'em up. He is fantastic but Messi is bound to be 'up for it' now and he will run around a bit more.
Owls2k
It wasn't an outburst. It was a well thought out attack. That's where the special one is different.
BIG D
See Strafford, take that as a warning. Don't wind the opposition up, it makes them try harder and is bound to end in tears.

PEARSON
Anyone that thinks Mourinho's well thought out mind games are in anyway simular to Lee Straffords outburst about administration is insane!

PEARSON
Outburst? I take it you didn't see it then? Ok outburst is strong. My point is they are in no way comparable. Anyone who tries to do so is slightly deluded. Lee Straffords comment had poor timing and don't have any benefits. Mourinho's comments were thought out mind games. I highly doubt LS purposely made those comments to get underneath the palace players skins.
BIG D
Surely it made the Barca players run round more and try harder?
Owls2k
Surely it made the Barca players run round more and try harder? And created a us against the universe mentality which gave the inter players shizzle loads of confidence and made them feel like gods

Your forgetting that Mourinho hasn't got players like the calibre of Clarke and Potter at his disposal so the special one was certainly taking a gamble. And you're forgetting that we're not facing Messi et al That said, I don't think Lee's comments even deserve a comparison. (not to be confused with when Sir Alex does it 'cos he's the master of 'mind games') top call..........................................except he $hit on 'em and then rubbed it in.....nice to see messi facing some proper defenders though for a change...not like when arsenal's let him do what he wanted.... dorian gray
Surely it made the Barca players run round more and try harder? if at the top of your chosen sport, you are going to beat a champion in his own back yard, let him not have the option of saying afterwards "i wasn't on my best game that night"
latemodelchild
Maybe the rule is when anyone else does it its mind games but when Lee does it its an excuse for people to line up and kick him cos we've had a poo poo season.
