Yeah that's exactly what I'm saying, you attracted a lot of fans due to your stint in the premiership an your 93 cup run ( like we attracted another couple of thousand due to our cup run)a lot of people in Cardiff an the surrounding area support Liverpool man ure, us city fans call them plastics, if we were to play in the prem thousands if these would Jump on the bandwagon like they did for you. Even if we came straight back down we would keep many of these fans. We would sell that twice over for a local derby as well if our stadium could hold it. We also took 40 000 fans to the millenium a few years back like I hear you guys did

Right, so to clarify, you're not a bigger club than us now, but you will be when you get promoted?

So if that was their excuse for losing at Hillsborough, what was their excuse for being completely mauled by Preston (was it 5-0?) just a week earlier?

Keeping in mind the fact that they missed out be 1 goal I'd be more inclined to think that the thrashing they suffered at the hands of Preston had a lot more to do with them missing out on the Play-offs than a narrow 1 goal defeat to us.

In all honesty after reading the initial article I find it all a little pathetic.

Is whinging just the culture of some clubs, you couldnt really imagine Irvine making comments about "players feeling deflated" because the crowd tried to wind them up and kept them updated of the score. Id be embarrased if he did.

I genuinely do believe Cardiff are a bigger club tho mate, didnt mean to offend anyone just saying what i feel. Like someone above said when were cardiff last in prem? your right never, but the day we go up will guarantee us another 10 000 on teh gate overnite, glory seekers yes,but every club needs them, where have all your fans gone from your premier league days? Also agree ridsdale is scum, but hes on his way out, latest rumour down here is taht TG has bought his shares,so hopefully hes fooked off before he killed us( im sure you guys would rather the latter tho). ps purse 90th minute winner im thinking

Cardiff do have huge potential as there isnt much to choose from football wise in Wales.

Our crowds have actually stayed pretty strong since leaving the premiership...even in League One we got higher crowds than the likes of Wigan and Blackburn. Glory seekers are important to every team and you will get loads of them, but I dont see Cardiff being able to boast of a potential that Wednesday wouldnt be able to match (at the least) had we got the money to spend on our side. Im not sure you'd be getting 25k in league one to be honest.

I dont particularly want Cardiff to go bust, but whilst your talking about Cardiff being on the cusp of becoming a big club once they are promoted, you have to remember that its only through spending what you dont have.

Ok we took 35000 to wembley as well. 7000 to chelsea and 6000 to villa this season. The big games just keep coming for the famous Cardiff city. Ps if you wanna talk about trouble please add the bit where your idiots were starting on city families after last seasons game. We all have our idiots, you included. I've just thought of a comeback chant.... Your not famous your not famous your not famous anymore

do you want a round of applause for your amazing fans. My brother in law still has a scar on his head from a brick that he shielded me from at cardiff in the 80's.

Cardiff a bigger club than Wednesday?? I have heard some poo in my time but this is hillarious!!! You may be a better side at the moment but when the administrators come knocking let's see where you are!!

flip me. They shouldnt even be in our league, alonng with swansea and wrexham. Boot all 3 out and replace them with English teams. The fact their travelling support carries a Portugal flag with them says it all really. Chip on their shoulders cos their country is small and insignificant really. Should stick to rugby and crying at Land of Our Fathers. I flipping pissed myself last season when we denied them the playoffs. Their fans were hilarious at the end. If they flip us today then so be it, its football. Happens all the time all over the world. Sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue. They'll get theirs soon enough when HMRC comes knocking and TG turns out to be a Sheard/C9S type chancer.

As for being a bigger club, our average this season and I would wager most seasons in history is higher, we've spent more time in the top division, won more cups and major honours. You say you'd get 10k extra in the prem, whats the capacity of your ground? Looking at this its 20k or so. Where are you going to put them?

http://soccer-stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/attend.html

Though looking at this its 26k or so,

http://www.footballgroundguide.com/cardiff_city/

Again, where are you going to put this extra 10k?

Or do you judge club size on league position and willingness to spend beyond your means instead of paying your tax bill? (Look at where snivelpool are in the league before you answer this one)

Whatever happens today will happen. Bring it on.

My brother in law still has a scar on his head from a brick that he shielded me from at cardiff in the 80's.

Last match of the season 1983/4 ? We were walking back to the station, when a Wednesdayite and his mate were returning back to the ground. One had blood streaming from his head, and they warned us not to go that way as Cardiff were throwing bricks. If that was you, then thanks mate. Took us ages to get a taxi back.
