the_vinyl_frontier
Thought we had gotten rid of that for good??! Hope it doesnt return. I bet if it does it will be something awful like Kasabian or something else ALL the other teams use. We dont need goal music, the crowd makes enough noise!! boxing_day
i really hope the club goes back on this. I hate goal music. It just reminds me of the pigs and thinking how poo and tacky they looked doing the der der der der der rather than celebrating. Whoever made the decision must be of their head. Guest Jackpo Sodje
No! Why? I doubt you'll be able to hear it on the radio anyway...
tilIdie
Didnt Lee Strafford say that he was getting rid of the goal music because it drowns out the cheering of the crowd and ruins the athmosphere? Im sure he said something like that just cant find it.
Guest CampbellOwl-36
Abhorrent descision, the only music i want to hear when we score is the cheering of our fans.
latemodelchild
No! Why? a) Dont worry, you wont hear it. b) Am I the only one who doesnt care either way? Generally when we score I could have Angelina Jolie begging me to do er up the wrong un and I wouldnt hear it, nor care. Those few seconds cant be improved upon nor detracted from for me. c) Whats the Aida bit again? Is it from Rocking All Over The World by the Quo? royalowlisback
FFS. Goal music is the gayest thing in football. Apart from Mark Lawrenson. Agreed. One of the few occasions you hear any noise at Hillsborough, and they want to drown it out? If people want goal celebration music, I suggest they feck off to the Steelers. Wakka_Wakka
Stupid idea, sounds way better without music on, at least put it to a fan vote like the band!
Singing The Blues
GARBAGE. I'm not renewing my season ticket on Monday now* BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *not true
Owls2k
And they've picked a song the band plays after a goal anyway. Bizarre
owls maniac
Surprised the season ticket holders havent been consulted on this like they were a few years ago. A poll on the website could have been a good way of gauging the fans opinions aswell. Just seems like someone has taken the decision upon themselves. rustyowl
If this is the case please bring back CONQUEST OF PARADISE instead of the poo we currently play.
Benjani
fornicate sake Wednesday - ridiculous idea to bring it back. Is this going to be the song though? Edited January 28, 2010 by Benjani

devon_owl
I suggest The Misinterpretation of Silence and Its Disastrous Consequences (Wombs and Tombs Mix) by Type O Negative.. and why? BECAUSE ITS JUST 40 SECONDS OF SILENCE!! Why has it been decided goal music should return? Seriously, it doesn't improve anything!
ScottyOwl
Got to be a step backwards in terms of at least trying to encourage supporter built atmosphere? shabbyhouse
Bad move Lee . Me no like. No score goals now.
Guest Jackpo Sodje
Well then when we score why don't we make as much noise as possible to drown out 'the gayest thing in the world ever'?
devon_owl
Just thinking how about the contender on repeat for a couple of minutes as the teams are preparing to appear, then they run out to the waterfront, no goal music and if we win singing the blues can come on just after the full time whistle? katie melua
What a joke!!!! Why on earth is this coming back? If this is a way of improving the match day experience then we might as well pack up and go and play in the Major Soccer League What next, are we going to have the kentucky derby theme being played at random during the match? Add to that, will we soon have the scrappy doo puppy power tune being played whenever we have a corner or a set piece? May as well have "I know a song that'll get on your nerves" when we score.
