areNOTwhatTHEYseem
The goals we've scored in the last minute have been much more crucial than the goals we've conceded in the last minute this season. In terms of the points swing caused by each goal, this is what we gained and lost as a result of each last minute goal: For: Blackburn - gained 2 points Rotherham - gained 1 point Rotherham - gained 2 points Bournemouth - gained 1 point Watford - gained 1 point Total gain = 7 points Against: Millwall - lost 2 points Middlesbrough - lost 0 points Fulham - lost 0 points Millwall - lost 0 points Total loss = 2 points Without our last minute goals, we'd have finished with 5 less points, below Forest and Leeds in 16th place. Thank goodness for our never say die attitude, then! Edited May 3, 2015 by areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Key
Good stat's backing up the never say die attitude. Of course that's nothing to do with Gray... Or the players... And certainly not Adte Nuhiu! With the squad we've had we've done well this season. People should remember that the megabucks haven't been spent yet. Next season could be fantastic but please don't go crying for the management and half the squad to be sacked after our first home draw!
lanzaroteowl
It's about time it swung in our favour, It always seemed to be goals against. If we are winning by one goal we always seemed to be the last result to come through on the teleprinter sometimes even after they had started reading the results. But if we were losing by one goal we were invariably the first result to come through. Long may it continue

Buxtongent
Players tend to forget that football is a 90 MINUTE game. (plus what the Ref adds on) Sounds as if yesterday he blew a few seconds TOO EARLY. Apparently, everyone including the Charlton GK had gone up for the corner kick, as you would expect for a team chasing the Title, the ball came out and Wednesday players were on the attack with an empty goal at their mercy when he blew. Many players forget 'Fergie time'. How many points did Manure score in added time? It seemed to be every other game. Incidentally, for a team that is never awarded a penalty, how many have we scored this season?

No wonder we struggled to score, playing against two GKs. Edited May 3, 2015 by Tamworthowl

roaminowl
I thought we drew 0-0 with Rotherham (first game obviously). Ne'er mind. You mean the Nuhiu goal to make it 2-2.
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
I thought we drew 0-0 with Rotherham (first game obviously). We did. Both of those goals are from the second time we played them. It's all to do with the points swing (how many points did each goal gain us?): We were losing on 90 minutes, so were on track for 0 points. When Nuhiu scored, we were on track for a draw, meaning a swing of 1 point. When Lee scored, this potential draw became a win, adding a further 2 points to our tally. The 2 goals combined turned a losing situation into a win - thus an overall points swing of 3 from that game. Edit: Just seen you've worked it out for yourself. I was quite enjoying my Carol Vorderman routine, as well! Edited May 3, 2015 by areNOTwhatTHEYseem

Someone posted a link to that incident and I've never seen that before. 3 points would have taken us in the top half. And would have meant we'd Twice come from behind to win in time added on, inside a month or so.
