Himble
An all round decent performance... was fearing an hammering before the game but could have gone either way. A bit of luck and some clinical finishing and we could have won that game. The fact that wins are hard to come by at the minute make the performance look worse than it was. At full time at Bramall Lane you would have been begging for a Wednesday performance like that. Dawson - 7 - Decent performance. Baker - 5 - Okay in defence, struggled with delivery when getting forward. Lees - 6 - No mistakes, nothing exceptional. Hector - 7 - Good defence, picked out some long balls towards the end of the game that he hasn't shown the capability for in previous games. Fox - 4 - Made the odd good tackle but poor for the second goal and should have scored from there. Poor first touch. Pelupessy - 7 - A couple of really vital impacts when tracking back. Bannan - 7 - An overall good performance Reach - 6 - A clinical finish Forestieri - 6 - Should have hit the target. Didn't cover back when needed. Matias - 8 - Never stopped running, covered every blade of grass. While not as influential going forward, was full of energy and willing to work for the team. Joao - 7 - Good overall performance. Gets mardy too easily and looked tired before being subbed. Nuhiu - 5 Penney - 6
james o connor
Dawson 7 decent from the leagues most exposed goal keeper Baker 4 not championship standard. Needs loaning out hector 5 pathetic first half esp 2nd goal and silly headers .better 2nd half lees 6 alright . No mistakes for a change fox 4 poor player , looks scared at hillsborough . The bell ends im the stands won’t help joey 6 generally alright but all the midfield are shocking when teams are bursting forward. They literally disappear . bannan 6 as above . 6 is probably a tad generous reach 6 scores the odd goal and is a willing runner, still think he should offer more. Matias 6 our best defender by a mile , which says a lot . Effort is top notch. Struggles to impose himself on games sometimes. Ff 5 not the superstar most think. Another poor showing . joao 6.5 better showing than of late.
Guest Ash76
Someone gave Bannan a 9 really? Aside from 20 minutes 2nd half he was poor today but not as bad as Matias and Forestieri, they were truly awful As usual the likes of Bakef, Fox and Pelupessey got the most criticism though. i thought Baker did OK to be honest but do prefer the Palmer of this season. Fox had a poor game but didn’t deserve the reaction to his withdrawal and Pelupessey stuck to the job he’s there for get a foot in and help us keep some shape aside from late on when we were committed to trying to find an equaliser. Joao edged Reach to MOTM for me
robswfc
12 hours ago, Holmowl said: Dawson 7 better distribution no chance with goals and great save from a magnificent strike. Baker 6 did ok but not great at either end. Decent overlapping second half. What did neither Joao, MM or FF attack his brilliant cross ball begging to be scored? Fox 5 lousy afternoon. His lack of control in 2 excellent overlaps first half !!!!! Lees 7 Perhaps could have done more with Hector with the second but good all afternoon Hector 7 would have been 8 but for the howler. I remember Hull fans saying he has one howler per game. Shame cos that apart he was super. Great distribution too. Joey 5 didnt Do enough Bannan 7 As always tried and always involved. Great ball for Reach. Needs to stop FF taking all the free kicks. Reach 7.5 good day for Adam. Took goal well and oh what did he have to slip late first half? Strong running with the ball and wasted very little. FF 5 shocking first half but better second. Looked disinterested. Why was he ambling back all second half? What did he use the outside of his foot when it was crying out to be curled with his instep? Been out for weeks so hopefully see a better FF Tuesday. MM 2 just awful. Anonymous. Joao 7.5 Best game for ages. Deserves lots of credit for his strength and willingness and his unusually good control. Won more headers than I have seen. Excellent at defensive corners. Really strong performance. Officials 1 Bad or influenced by Lampard or cheats? They were just appalling. Terrific game. Great atmosphere. We did not deserve to lose. A win would not have flattered us. Really don’t know what game you were watching
Beauchief Owl
I see that Fox, Baker and Nuhiu all have one vote each. I think they should not be able to vote for themselves.
Kenners3896
Dawson 4 - conceded twice again. Nothing he can do about 1st but could have and should have done better with the 2nd. Doesn't make big saves just makes lots of routine ones as our defence is so shaky. How can we give a keeper who has conceded twice and only saved by the bar for a 3rd a 7? Baker 4 - works hard but like most of our youth product just isn't good enough. Jos is trying to force the issue with the u23 but they aren't good enough. He's also slow how are we in a position where even our u23 have no pace? Lees 6 - was solid till their goals and again afterwards but damage had been done then. He's not a captain. Hector 5 - class in 1st 25 but could be argued he was at fault for both goals. Inconsistent. He will fit right in at Wednesday. Fox 2 - terrible performance from a terrible player. People say he shouldn't be given stick? He's paid 10k a week so he bloody should be. He was dreadful from start to finish. The fact he didn't come off at HT shows jos incompetence. Pelupessy 6 - standard performance from him really. Goes missing does a decent challenge couple of times a game. Passes to keeper alot. Not good enough. Hutch better option. Bannan 6 - steady away was busy and worked hard. Struggled at little bit with derbys energy and pace. Consistent player who will always put it in. Should be captain. Reach 7 - goal gets him a 7 rather than a 6. Started very brightly but then drifted out of game. Is great at getting at a man but out paced time and time again. Another consistent player that could perhaps offer a little more. Forestieri 4 - is he still the player he was? His quality is unquestionable but his desire his. Never got Into the game and missed the best chance of the game. Stood offside for most of 2mf half and clearly couldn't be arsed. Should have come off but the bench was so bad he couldnt. Matias 6 - exceptional work rate. Worked really hard but again struggled to get into game. Joao 6 - looked good in 1st 25 mins. Then drifted out of game. He's not gonna be q world beater. He should be moved on in summer. Nuhiu 4 - did nothing. Awful player. Penney 5 - sorry state of affairs when our only option is to bring on a u23 LB that has hardly set the world alight. He's a decent little player but the hype has gone to his head. People like him because he isn't fox. He's not tearing up any trees. Jos- 2 - can't knock the attacking line up but his bench was again absolutely dreadful. It was so bad he didn't have a 3rd change to make. How is this possible? We've 10's of thousands of wages rotting and he names that bench. Fox had one of the worst halves of football I've ever seen but he survived HT??? Dropping Fletcher? Played well in last 3 games and can't even sit on Bench. He's a seasoned pro earning alot of money. Disgraceful decision. Jos does nothing. He doesn't know how-to change a game. He doesn't know how to attack a team. You only have to look at derby (Who have similar FFP issues) and compare the teams and benches yesterday to see where we are going so so wrong. Jos has to go now. He's a terrible terrible manager. The football is the worst I've seen in years. People say we played well yesterday? Yeah we did for 1st 20 mins then it was usual service resumed. Derby weren't great but they weren't shocking it was hardly a smash and grab for them. It was a reasonable close game. Worrying worrying times ahead

Very worrying performance when he's been rested for so long. I really don't know why they didn't bring him off. Fox isn't a left back for me, he's a centre back, which he's proven again with his touch today. I can't fault him though as we don't have a left back. Penney would obviously get the spot for the next game. They didn't bring him off as the bench was absolutely abysmal.
mogbad
Dawson 6 - Did ok, couldn't be faulted for the goals. Baker 5 - Great energy but too lightweight for the Championship at the moment, poor distribution from good positions. Lees 6 - Did well defensively. Hector 6 - Would probably have been MOTM if not for the howler for the 2nd goal. Fox 3 - Poor game, didn't get crosses in from good positions, hit the post when it seemed easier to score. Reach 6 - Not at his best but took his goal well. Pelupessy 4 - If it was a hide & seek competition he'd get a 10 out of 10. Bannan 5 - His worst match of the season for me, very quiet for him. Matias 5 - Ran about but to very little effect. Joao 7 - MOTM for me, worked hard, though tired in the 2nd half. Forestieri 5 - Had the mardies on, missed a sitter trying to be flash. Nuhiu 4 - Offered nothing, back to being the poor excuse of a footballer that we've seen for most of his time here. Penney 6 - Did ok & looked far livelier than Fox. Jos 2 - We get our first clean sheet at the stain with 5 at the back but Jos changes the formation & defensive set up yet again. Baker is a great prospect but it's as clear as day that Palmer is currently the better option (god help us). His only permanent signing Pelupessy is League 1 standard at best. wiltonowl
Reach for me, Cannot understand the hate for Fox and Joey on here. Better performance from the team all-round. Could/should have at least scored another 2. So an eight for Reach and a 6 for everyone else. A massive -5 for the idiots that boo one of our players. Nuhiu - 5 Penney - 6 Fox had nowt to do with second goal, it was Hector who side footed it straight to a Derby player he then ended up missing player who broke through for goal, he dived in for first goal ending up on his ass as well. Dawson 6 Not much chance with goals, pulled off a top save during second half. Baker 5 Makes some great runs down wing but his crossing lets him down badly. Lees 6 Steady performance. Hector 4 Showed some great touches at times but makes a few mistimed tackles, better than Pudil but not the Loovens of a couple of years ago we're badly missing. Fox 5 Gave everything as always and made some good runs down wing but let down by his crossing just like Baker, didn't deserved the cheers by the idiots when taken off. Pelupessy 5 Put a shift in but struggles to get on ball enough. Bannan 7 Not at his best but still one of our better players. Reach 8 Made some terrific runs from midfield and always looked a threat. Forestieri 5 Took a while to get into game but when he did he missed a sitter, why did he it on outside of his foot? Matias 6 Tried hard but struggled at times. Joao 7 Showed some great touches and looked a threat at times though did drift out of game at times. Subs Penney 6 Nuhui

frastheowl
Dawson - 6 - Had a pretty quiet game really. Made a good save from Huddlestone's long range effort, but his relatively quiet game summed up our dominance. Baker - 6 - Decent. Offered a good outlet down the right hand side, and was involved in some good passages of neat play. Just needs a bit more conviction at times. Lees - 7 - Defended well, strong aerially. Hector - 7 - For 95% of the game, he was class. Read the game brilliantly, composed on the ball. But his error for the 2nd goal sums up our problems at the minute. Too many unforced errors which we're getting punished for. Fox - 6 - Abhorrent treatment of the lad once again. Had a steady game, and didn't deserve the ironic cheers. Pelupessy - 6 - Thought he offered a good shield in the 1st half especially. Steady enough. Bannan - 7 - Superb assist for Reach's goal, and was the heartbeat of the side again. Thought he began to drop a bit too deep again in the 2nd half, but on the whole, another impressive display. Reach - 7 - Started the game very well. Drifted out to the right hand and exposed the space behind Malone well. Took his goal well. Faded as the game went on, but still looks to make things happen. Forestieri - 6 - Looked a bit rusty. Missed a glorious chance, should have done better when the wrong side of Wisdom. Matias - 6 - Gives us the directness and pace we crave. Stretches the defence and make space for Joao to drop in. Joao - 7 - Man of the Match - A good centre forwards performance without the goal it probably deserved. Had Keogh very uncomfortable in the 1st half, and won just about every header up against him. That's the consistent level required from Joao, with the odd moment of genius we all know he can produce. Feel as though, that the fans reaction to this game mirrors the West Brom game. The performance is been cast to one side, and the negativity of the result overriding everything. It was, for the most part, a very adept performance lacking the finishing touches. Derby's 1st goal came against the run of play, totally undeserved and very unfortunate. But when things aren't going for you, you get a raw deal. The 2nd goal was an elementary error from Hector, and we were maximally punished for it. Derby committed three or four similar errors, but we couldn't capitalise. There wasn't a lot wrong with the performance, but it's the small matters at either end of the pitch which are costing us at the minute. We are very close to getting it right, yet at the same time, seem so far away. Tuesday is a massive game. But based on the United game and yesterday's performance, there's no reason we shouldn't be confident. Doesn't make the game any easier however.
