Matias Appeal

Recommended Posts

So have we actually appealed?

The thing about this decision that is so wrong is that it was made because of bias.

Matias doesn’t help himself and had given both officials verbals before in the game so when it came to making the decision the officials did not treat the players equally. They decided, whether subconsciously or not to punish Matias , and saw something that wasn’t there because of that.

How bizarre is that.

Nobody posted on the thread for 7 hrs and we ask same question at the same time!

Haha yes great minds and all that!

My concern here is that it didn't get signed off at the top by anyone and if so is yet another example of micro management from a distance gone horribly wrong!

Mindless "let's have a pop at the club" commnts

Unless you know what was in the referees report, you cannot know whether appealing was a good idea. If you don't have any evidence to challenge the official view you have no chance and "I couldn't see any reason to send him off" just doesn't wash. You appeal and fail and you are quite likely to suffer a longer ban. We can't afford that seeing as "We're not exactly flush with players right now."

If it does get overturned and he is allowed to play Saturday then someone at the club should tell him to stop diving everytime someone comes near him.

It is embarrassing!

Last thing we need is the ref to be on Barnsleys side at the weekend.

We don't need refs to lose our games. We are more than capable of doing that ourselves.
