DuttyTeabags
How about overturning the 'foul outside the box' decision too - clear as day Joao was inside the peno area. These refs are total kants....
owl4528
So did or didn't we appeal it?
oldishowl
So have we actually appealed? The thing about this decision that is so wrong is that it was made because of bias. Matias doesn’t help himself and had given both officials verbals before in the game so when it came to making the decision the officials did not treat the players equally. They decided, whether subconsciously or not to punish Matias , and saw something that wasn’t there because of that.

Haha yes great minds and all that! My concern here is that it didn't get signed off at the top by anyone and if so is yet another example of micro management from a distance gone horribly wrong! oldishowl
Must admit I have a concern we weren’t capable of organising or paying for the appeal

OxonOwl
Mindless "let's have a pop at the club" commnts Unless you know what was in the referees report, you cannot know whether appealing was a good idea. If you don't have any evidence to challenge the official view you have no chance and "I couldn't see any reason to send him off" just doesn't wash. You appeal and fail and you are quite likely to suffer a longer ban. We can't afford that seeing as "We're not exactly flush with players right now." sonofbert2
It's true they missed the deadline. Apparently they sent Rhodes to post the letter but he kept falling over when he got close to the box.
s6 owl
Don’t expect to find out anything until the press conference. Our clubs communication with the fans regarding anything like this is appaling.
pride_of_the_road
If it does get overturned and he is allowed to play Saturday then someone at the club should tell him to stop diving everytime someone comes near him. It is embarrassing! Last thing we need is the ref to be on Barnsleys side at the weekend.

We start diving all over place, their crowd bays for blood and then ref bottles all further decisions in favour of home team.

Mr. Chow
Why does it take so long to flipping appeal, if we haven’t then just add it to the pile of crap of a season.
twolaptops
Evidently the ref assessor at the game said it was WRONG to send him off..............so on that basis an appeal was a no-brainer. If we have failed to do so ....then somebody wants..................ing Edited February 7, 2018 by twolaptops
Ronnie Starling
Looking on the FA's website there are no suspensions for Sheffield Wednesday players as it stands. Compare this to Berardi of Leeds and Moore of United who were also sent off on Saturday who are named as suspended players.
