Owls launch Grandstand VIP Hospitality Package!

Recommended Posts

The room does need an upgrade that's for sure. You would still have the exec box holders coming in and out of their rooms so there needs to be separation. It would have always worked better if those suites had a view of the pitch. IIRC it does at the Lane

But those rooms are what 20 plus years old and were always fitted in when the stand expanded not designed with change in mind.

One of the other reasons the new stadium option will more likely happen if the circumstances and finances arose that a choice could be made.

I'm actually starting to come round to us charging way more than them lot down S2. Hopefully in future generations it will encourage a sort of wealthy/poor divide like certain other foreign big city clubs. The smart people who work hard and earn loads will come to support the club with the better facilities/players etc and in turn the rabble will be priced out and have to support the blunts.

an awful but probably not far from the truth view  of what the prem is about .....

That's because the brand is seen as 'cool' and a great place to rock up with friends and socialise in a sociable environment

So is our corporate area

I'd not agree with that particular statement

I'd say the corporate area has the feel of a photocopier conference or one of those corporate  'networking meetings' you see around Sheffield on a weekly basis

lol

My sister used to work for Canon Photocopiers.

Every year they used to have their annual sales conference in Slough where it was always presented by Jonathan Ross. Purely because the MD liked the way he pronounced their major UK competitor. Rank Xerox.

the other local corporates are laughing at us at the moment and i mean that literally. i went and booked something last month for a event at Doncaster racecourse and we got talking about hobbies and football, he couldn't believe how much the pricing was and mentioned quite a few have come to them after the price increase.

by the way the event i booked was only £140 per head of day out decent meal and a free bar!!!  and we want to compete???

There seems to be a lot of competitors offering free bars included in the price currently

Can see the obvious attraction as a customer to buy a package that gives you free drinks for sure

Compared to the previous offering for this - which was a self service carvery - at £220 - this is a bargain.

Its still very expensive - but may well get a few more converts. What this does suggest is that (finally, hopefully) people are listening

I agree with this. Personally I would prefer some hot simple food. A decent burger, hot beef or pork butty, etc...

But it seems like a decent idea and a price I would go for.
