Next six games

Recommended Posts

Technically it was the 2 games in 50 hours rotation policy...

Fulham A- loss

Bolton H- win

Leeds H- win

Reading A- draw

Burnley H- win

Birmingham A- draw

11 points, still on target.

The first three are all winable games for me.

Fulham- 1-2 W

Bolton- 4-1 W

Leeds- 2-0 W

Reading- 1-1 D

Burnley- 2-0 W

Birmingham- 1-2 W

16 from 18

Think maybe I'm a bit too much optimistic.

Thought my 14 points was a tad optimistic!

Nowt wrong with optimism mate. Happy new year, and if either of us is right i will buy you a bottle of whatever we were drinking when we posted.

First six matches - 5 points

Second six matches - 12 points

Third six matches - 11 points

Recent six matches - 8 points

I thought the December run was going to be tough, so the 8 points was not a disaster. I said I would be happy with 9, so 8 is pretty fair.

That said, we have to kick on now, and as many have posted elsewhere, our away form needs a significant improvement.

Here are my predictions, but only assuming we stop the away rotation policy:-

Fulham A draw

Bolton H win

Leeds H win

Reading A draw

Burnley H win

Brum A win

So, 14/18 points from me. Modest target!

If we persist with rotation away, I see two losses and a draw, so 10 points, which is decent, but no longer good enough for the playoffs. Playing catch up now.

Delighted to say I predicted 14 and we got 14.

14 points from 18. Dreamland.

So next six?

Brentford H win

Preston A win

QPR H draw

Hull A draw

Rotherham H win

Brighton A draw

I genuinely dont think another 14 points is beyond us, but I have gone for a hard fought draw v QPR so 12.

Taking the season as batches of 6 matches:-

First six matches.......5 points

Matches 7-12........... 12 points

Matches 13-18..........11 points

Matches 19-24...........8 points

Matches 25-30...........14 points

Matches 31-36...........6 points (Brentford to Brighton)

With Others caught up to us we have to get a good haul from the next 6.

Forest A

Charlton H

Udders A

Blackburn H

Bristol A

Ipswich H

Love to think three home wins, and a win and two draws away, so 14 points. Cant say I would be too confident though.

Squeaky bum time. Lets hope ours squeaks less than others.

Should, and I stress the word should, win all 6 of them really and collect 18 points well and truly cementing our place in the playoffs.

However we all know that won't be the case.

I'd still like to think there's 4 wins in that batch of 6 though. I'm saying 10-12 points.

The most recent six matches have produced a fantastic 13 points. I know we all feel cack because of Bristol and Ipswich, but 13/18 is wonderful form. We would all have taken that at 2.59pm before the Forest kick off.

Nearly there now.

All the top teams have to play each other too remember and we're about to play these with some of our better players about to come back from injuries or suspension (providing we don't get any more casualties from the Stoke game).

I know "The Wednesday way" is still there and lurks in the mind of most of us but you can be sure none of these teams will be looking forward to playing us..

I'm not suggesting we'll win all these but we should no longer be frightened of them....

Ooh, Sl-owl-ly knockers take note....

lol
