All a bit dodgy....

No general manager there alongside the gaffer to stick his nose in where its not wanted... Doesn't count

It's ok. They all answer to the head coach. Remember manager is king. If someone offer £6.40 and a bag of dry roasted for Messi, it's entirely down to the gaffer to decide if he fancies it or not

My point is that we've not signed no one, people on here are on another planet

New owner

New pitch

New manager/coach/committee/tea lady

New score board

We will get promotion because of this, absolutely deluded

He lasted long didn't he?

Can you list all the other signings that Championship clubs have made so far.

If you seriously think a whole load of cash thrown at a club, buying players from different nations and employing these people will work then your off your head seriously.

Something for you all to think about...

Put yourself in a foreign players shoes

Can't speak the language

Don't know your team mates

No friends out of the game

Different culture

No family has travelled over to your new country

Different style of playing

Would you be able to do your job to its maximum potential within a month? Because hats all we have got until we are in the thick of the friendliest and pre season. No point in waiting until oct/nov to start coming good.

And for those who say 'buy English' any good English player will be out of our reach, not financially but look at Rhodes for example, we offer £6million or Ipswich/Derby offer that money, he's not coming to us... Not a chance

Ask yourself to name the best 10 players in the premier league over last 10 years. Or the best 20 players in the premier league today.

Now ask yourself if you are spouting sheeite.

Worksop....do us a favour mate and *** off to the Lane and take all your moaning, negative tools with you. If I had to put my house on someone's business ideas being winning ideas, DC's or yours then I'm afraid you lose. Let them do what they think is right and if it goes boobies up then whinge all you want but not even before the players report back for pre-season.......maybe you think DC owes you some sort of explanation as to what he's doing but I'm not so sure he does.....are you as positive at home as you are on here? If so I bet your mates love going out for a pint with you

Could you please post this link in each one of the boring, negative threads that appear each day regarding our "Committee" please?

It should shut a few of the local moaners up... at least until the first defeat of the season that is.

No it won't......they'll find something else to whine about, like the new grass is the wrong shade of green or something

not sure what you're trying to say here, if you look on the staff profiles on Southampton website you'll see that Koeman is a traditional managers and the others all work under him as his staff.

so can you name an English side where it has worked, cos the most successful sides have been where the a manager is boss like ferguson wenger mourinho benitez and there are plenty of examples where the director/head coach experiment has failed such as Newcastle sunderland Chelsea Tottenham Liverpool blackburn.

in short the sporting director is what we traditionally call a manager calling the shots but with the bonus that when results go wrong its the head coach who gets fired.

and if carvalho is to be sporting director as suggested where does roeder fit in?
