The worst traits of Wednesday fans

I reckon I get 6 out of 6, or am I just being deluded?

Oh wait...

Arrogant?... Doh!

Yep, right up there I am.

A king amongst drama queens!

When I hear Wednesdayites come up with massive for us and tinpot for other clubs I cringe.

I can understand why other clubs dislike our fans.

We aren't massive. Wimbledon and Wigan have won more than us since the war. We are a small northern club with a fancy sounding name.

Small northern club?

How very dare you?

I would use the word conservative with a small c for most of them. The rest of us are more open minded about how a new management structure may work, consider that the last 20 years of traditional methods has hardly been a success. Oh and are Conservative as well so like to be associated with winners

I must admit, thaw arrogance thing does bother me a little with Wednesday fans, find it quite two-faced as well...potential manager sees the posts on here and elsewhere and must think all sorts, 6 months later we're all shouting his name from the kop and singing his praises.

But yeah, agree with pretty much all of that.

Deluded - some of the suggestions made about potential signings and managerial appointments suggest we think we are far bigger than we really are.

Arrogant - this is linked to deluded.  We seem to think we are Barcelona or something.  People on social media saying that managers and players who would never even want to manage/play for us in a million years aren't good enough is embarrassing. We seem to think we are Man City or something.

Aggressive and rude - instead of saying 'I have reservations about this guy's managerial record', people on twitter say 'This guy isn't wanted at S6 - he can roger off!'.  If people like Big Sam/Lambert read twitter, the attitude of fans on twitter must horrify them.  It seems at times they are just attention seekers trying to be as controversial as possible.

Gullible - lots of people take as gospel any foundless rumour they read then kick off about it.

Insular and change resistant - the pitch forks come out for anyone other than a Sheffielder or an ex player.  The starting point with anyone we don't know is that they are poo .  The outcry about Gray leaving would make you think he was the messiah. Arsenal fans said Arsene who? Who'd heard of the Watford and Boro managers last year?

Drama queens - some proper drama queens - people kicking off at present like we are on the brink of admin in the fourth division. Lack of signings means we're only going to have 7 players at the start of the season.

Reading this site and social media, you'd honestly think that the majority of Wednesday fans have a screw loose!  Other fans must think we are a right set of numpties.

Another numpty, who like the blunts, just doesn't get Wednesday fans.

Thanks for your lecture. Hope it made you feel more superior.

A potential manager is put off by Owls fans posting on a football forum....?

Do give over

If it's true about Wednesday fans why do so many people agree? Are we not all Wednesday fans after all?

We've had plenty of populat managers who aren't ex players or not from Sheffield.

Plenty of people have given valid reasons for criticising the potential change of manager whether correct or not.

There are plenty who didn't think we'd get the likes of allardyce, you get fans of every club demanding people well out their reach.

Everyone has their idiots but the OP isn't describing the worst traits of Wednesday fans, it could be a whole host of clubs.

You'd never heard of Karanka that played for Real Madrid or Jokanovic that played for Chelsea?

The irony of such an 'arrogant' post.

People are entitled to an opinion when they pay good money to go and watch them every week!

For 15 years we have had chairmen and managers espousin' taking us back to the Prem....For 15 years its never looked like happening...

So..are you deluded if you think its happening this time..or are you deluded if you think it isn't....and surely Owls fans have more right than some to treat these promises a little sceptically?

Whats delusion?...watching something happen time after time for nigh on  2 decades and expecting it to happen again..

or watching something happen time after time for nigh on 2 decades and expecting it to change?

Owls fans have many traits....trust is the one thats f'ooked 'em over the most though.....
