dangeroustom
If the story is anything like true we need to pull our fingers out I fancy...according to the BBC Middlesbrough are potentially in talks.
Guest wilyfox
Are Middlesbrough going up? Quite possibly. Are we? Nah uh. So what should we be doing with our fingers exactly once we've pulled them out..? Smell them?
dangeroustom
It's called intent. We should be showing signs of intent! Not saying we would splash out the suggested 12 million anyhow.

SallyCinnamon
Rhodes won't come here because his Dad's here. He'll cramp his style. Dads are the worst.
wednesdaywizard
Could have put this in the other thread. Why would he want to move from mid table blackburn, going nowhere, to mid table SWFC, going nowhere if Forest and boro are sniffing? it's all agent BS to try and get the QPRs/Hulls to show some interest and get him in the prem. Owl999
We aren't in the hunt for Rhodes, never have been, if we were going to start paying silly money instead of smart spending I'd rather see us in for Wickam .
Bob
Get real. Why would we be making a move now ? Plenty of time at the end of the season when the shop windows are wide open.

Is Gray not doing that with Keane and McGugan? Rhodes is bound for the premier league this summer, be it with a club on the way up or already there. We're not in that category. dangeroustom
Personally Id rather we invest in a player that turns into a Rhodes, Feeney, Ings, Austin. When was the last time we had one of those, I would suggest David Hirst myself.

dangeroustom
You don't. Let's hope. Agree that Keane and McGugan would be great permanent additions, foundations for a strong team. Also think we must sign Loovens up.

It means buying the likes of May, Keane and Bus, which is what we have been doing. Of course, it also means shopping in a slightly more expensive/less risky market for the likes of Afobe, Wells, etc, which is a market we haven't been able to compete in up to now.
