nethertonowl
Amazing how very one on these lists are players already playing in England/Scotland , yet even when we had no money we signed Kelher, Dielha, Floro, Nuihu and in Jan we added two more, nobody had heard of. More overseas players are signed these days by clubs than uk players. Now we have money, why does everyone think we will just , be looking at home. Even more likely given DC`s comments about Asian market that we will be looking at players with commercial profile in the Asian market.
Guest wilyfox
Now we have money, why does everyone think we will just , be looking at home. Proven quality in English football - the very kind we are lacking. Our best outfield player is not our own; that should tell you something. Guest
Surprised to see quite a few thinking Maguire will stay, he's had a poor season for me and I wouldn't be shocked to see SG let him go
Bigger Guns
I understand what you're getting at but then no what's the point in football forums? Fair. Suppose I don't have to join in every chat

I don't think it's because we don don't believe we will sign players from abroad. It's mainly down to the fact people like me probably don't have much knowledge on who we could bring in for overseas, whereas we can suggest UK based players and actually put names to them. Nobody has said we will just be looking at home.
Guest Strap
I wouldn't mind Vydra ( I can't remember how to spell his name) and abdi from watford.
Guest wilyfox
them 3 need to go not good enough by a country mile. I'd keep Maguire as a squad player. He chips in with goals and performances despite inconsistency. I'm really looking forward to the retained list in May. Gray said he's pretty much decided already on whom he wants to keep. lukestheman82
ZZZZZZZZ This thread is almost as boring as the posts slating it... Why take the time to post on a thread if it's that boring?
Guest wilyfox
I don't mind Mattock, certainly think he's improved season upon season Whereas I still feel he comes unstuck against a pacey winger. McCleary had him on toast when we played Reading recently .

james o connor
if maghoma and Maguire are kept it must only be for back up /emergencies and not as realistic first team options neither are good enough to start in a team wanting to challenge for promotion, same with helan who I know im in the minority but I think is a truly dreadful player
WalthamOwl
Hope Maghoma goes, no were near good enough if we want to be a promotion chasing team. Probably would say the same about Maguire Edited March 8, 2015 by WalthamOwl
dontCallMeOwlCallYou
Whereas I think he is turd and his 10 grand a week could be better spent Haha no mincing about there pal, have to agree tho left back is a must fix for us. Lots of fans ignoring this position because helan is a good player coming forward and still young.
Guest tha_knows
Whereas I still feel he comes unstuck against a pacey winger. McCleary had him on toast when we played Reading recently .McCleary was dangerous no doubt about it, but the support and cover Maghoma offered ment Mattocks job was always going to be difficult. It's only my opinion ofcourse not everyone's going to agree, but I rate him above Dielna and Helan who I think is more effective as a winger. meggoisgod
Imo left back is sorted with Helan and Dielna as cover...meaning Mattock can go..I also think Hutch could fill in anywhere across the back 4...he is not a midfielder and we need to accept it
