Chris_B_SWFC
I know it's largely irrelevant now and no one really cares because we won, but... When the ball comes back off our player for the second "penalty", the Boro player catches the ball well before the ref blows the whistle. Shouldn't that be a foul? Or is that ok because the ref had already decided to award the penalty, despite not blowing the whistle. Bit presumptuous by the Boro player regardless. Guest JonTheOwl66
Puts the ref in an awkward position. .are him give the penalty. Quite clever really.
Tamworthowl
Ref has to give first offence, so the second handball is irrelevant. But I agree that it puts pressure on ref to give the first even if he is a bit unsure (if asked he would say he was 100% sure).
McRightSide
That's the reason most players grab the ball when they go to ground. It forces the referee to make a decision. It's a coached behaviour
Bluesteel
If we grab the ball next time maghoma is chopped down hell probably send the guy who caught it off

Worksop Wednesday
It's Ok for players to do this when they play Wednesday ! refs can allow players to handle and catch the ball at any time when they play us infact referres can allow players to do wahtever they want with and without the ball when they play us

This. The Boro player caught the ball about 2 seconds before the ref stopped play. No matter how certain the Boro player was that it was a penalty, until the referee awards it he is committing a deliberate handball.
Tommo_
Refs are too easy to manipulate. They need to show more fortitude.

bobbobbins
The first penalty was a foul but the player looked clearly off side to me when the ball came to him. Froze it on the FL show.
Suzuki_San
It's bloody childish, that's what it is. "I'm not playing unless I get my foul!"
cross owl
Like has been said anyone who grabs the ball no matter where the player is or how stone wall the offence should get a yellow at least because your simply forcing a decision which may have never come . Its the same as diving , your playing the official rather than the game
