canadianowl
The amount of cringe worthy posts the past 2 weeks about how we're going to Wembley, after we smash Charlton, the Pigs etc was just embarrassing. Back to reality folks, take it one game at a time, yeah?

canadianowl
Any need for this post? Yeah. Don't want to seem all high and mighty ["I was right!"] but maybe the nutters in Matchday should think twice before getting carried away.
chad
Any need for this post? I for one believe there is..... there's a difference between optimism and arrogance
SiJ
The Op has a point. Probably best to start bragging when you've actually achieve something and, if we are honest with ourselves, how the flip can we as a group of fans ever be overly confident about anything?!?!?! northeastowl
I for one believe there is..... there's a difference between optimism and arrogance I agree...but 10 minutes after we've just been beat in such an important game??
Guest Darkus Owlus
Nothing wrong with the Wembley comments, any football fan seeing his team face a seemingly lesser opponent in the league, potentially getting through to an even lesser rival should be allowed to feel confident about getting to the semis. Guest OsiinAlnwick
When we get to Wembley it will be with a team which has a chance of winning. Things are on the up. The fact that we're gutted at losing a chance of getting to Wembley is something most young Owls will be unfamiliar with. We're building a momentum, don't lose faith at the first knock-back. WAWAW. Mr. Chow
Nothing wrong with been confident, we should have beaten charlton and beaten united. Just two teams doing worse than us in the football league, I don't see what your problem is?
The Night-Owl
Proper gutted and disappointed. I love the Cup and it was hard to not think about what might have been. Well done to Charlton at the end of the day for defying the odds and being party poopers. Many of us were guilty of looking too far ahead whilst forgetting what can happen in the Cup in a knock-out game. It was cringeworthy but at the same time it was exciting thinking of what might have been. Hopefully we'll move on and get over the disappointment and carry on the turnaround in the League. See you hit the nail on the head with the 4th sentence thinking about is the thing that people should have been doing not the big when we get to Wembley balls that weve had to put up with for the last 2 weeks

Just two teams doing worse than us in the football league, I don't see what your problem is? It was a realistic pre match opinion that other fans will use to label us arrogant. We're entitled to get excited about the cup, odds are we should expect to beat both Charlton and the Pigs. We were just terrible, a few annoying changes by the manager and a terrible showing from Llera helping a poor team beat us by playing below average football. ReginaldD
I was cringing on Saturday when we were singing about Wembley when there were still 2 games to win before
viva hate
Sorry but after 15 years of dire poo , we had 2 winnable games to get to Wembley. Why couldn't we dream for once? The past 2 weeks I've enjoyed dreaming of going to Wembley. Tonight back to the nightmare.
