Then reduced 18k after 'that' match?? https://foursquare.com/v/the-kop--hillsborough-sheffield-wednesday/4bbb45e3cf2fc9b6315da202 The current capacity of Sheffield Wednesday's Spion Kop is 11,210.Before the addition of a roof in 1986, the Kop was the largest covered standing area in Europe, with a capacity of 22,000. onslow
Sheffield Wednesday vs Brighton-325.jpg From roughly same place this afternoon Wonderful pic of the kop but the top half is SO dark, you can barely make out the Xaba Milan banner. Needs some roof lights, like they have at St James Park

It only held around 18k before the roof was put on. The Holte end was far bigger and has always been fully covered. even MORE impressive ............ MASSIVE innit It was cause it had no roof which made it look big in reality it only held around 18k and all the noise went up in the air and out of the ground. Singing in unison on the Kop in those days was a bit of a joke as there No amplification and everything was just a distorted mess. In reality it was crying out for a roof. Lord Nilsson
Wonderful pic of the kop but the top half is SO dark, you can barely make out the Xaba Milan banner. Needs some roof lights, like they have at St James Park Think all the stands look too dark and could do with brighter roof lights. Would stop the place looking so cavernous.
