Do you think DJ will/should retract/modify his statement after the cooling off period?

I think that's up to him considering the chanting he's had to put up with. I hope he now gets the chance to put his side forward and something gets done about it. Imagine the crap he'd get if he was on twitter? Probably would all go unpunished too as it wouldn't be racist, which is all anyone seems to care about nowadays.

if, as Leeds would have you believe it was the actions of only one fan, you have to admit that piece of sh*t was a busy boy last night, throwing multiple objects, breaking and throwing seats, kicking down hoardings and then assaulting Kirkland.

I think it is wrong to label all fans collectively as DJ did, just as it is pointless refering to things that happened 30 years ago, but until people like Gary Cooper start to take responsability for their own fans actions instead of looking for excuses and deflecting the blame then nothing will change, it would also be interesting to know why he did not attend last night, could he be apprehensive of travelling with the Leeds fans !!!

Sad to hear the tone of his response. You can't solve a problem until you accept it's a problem.

If they can do that then the fair minded Leeds fans need to start claiming their club back.

I know a lot of very decent Leeds fans who would never dream of going to an away game because of all the idiots it attracts and a lot pick their home matches if they have younger children. Neil picked up on this on another thread but you need people to stand up start filling the grounds with families and change the balance.

Already has, sort of, heard him on RS about 40 minutes ago.

They have that many brain dead idiots that I think DJ is entirely within his rights to say "The leeds fans are vile animals". A very large percentage were singing about him being a paedophile and an even bigger percentage were singing the Saville song.

DJ has no obligation to say "a minority" or "a few idiots". Virtually all of them were at it and leeds' history of violence en masse is a damning indictment on their fans collective mentality.

I was in the Leeds end on Friday night.

Firstly let me say, I along with most do NOT condone what that scrubber who ran on the pitch did, in fact we can all do without it im sure. (the kid is banned and appanrently was know 'online' from a few years ago selling season tickets on Leeds forums, taking the cash then not sending anything. Proper little ******).

As for all the rest, what is the fuss? Sure, the Advertising board incident is bad and I hope that kid is ok, (didnt see what happened, did it fall or was or kicked off?) but as for all the finger pointing....comon...you lot know that one of your away days 2(?) seasons ago had loads of owls away fans tearing down adverts and lobbing them then down into your own fans (causing a fair few injuries to your own)

We also know that it was just Leeds fans throwing stuff (although nothing was thrown to my knowledge from either side until the Turkey chants, the irtst time ive heard anything about Turkey since Millwall last year). I saw the chairs from the Leeds end, I also saw the coins from the Owls in the North corner.

As for the vile chants, seriously? Every side sings this stuff. I think I hear songs about Warnock at every game....think Ivesung about Warnock in the past before he came to us. Is Warnock complaining though?

Im not here to argue hos right and wrong and I wont reply to any posts as it will only end up in 'internet argueing' but although events went too far on friday (the kid who went on the pitch), football in this country needs (imo) livening up, the atmosphere in football in general is pretty poo pooe and nights with 2 sets of fans singing makes for a much better atmopshere and sees much higher attendences.

I can count 3 occasions in the last 4 years where Leeds players have been punched by fans on the field of play. Nothing was made of this whatsoever (much like the Crystal Palace incident) but this was vile Leeds so something must be done?

Just think its blown out of all proportion. That kid should get all he deservers (stretch inside imo).

For what its worth, thought we were poo pooe and you lot deserved the win. We have been very very poor in our last 3 games, but seeminly we are harder to beat these days.

There is a world of difference between the chants about Warnock (which even he himself in the past has acknowledged as 'banter') and the ones aimed at Jones. Neil knows this, but as usual he's up to his old tricks. There is a massive difference between calling someone a w@nker and calling someone a kiddy fiddler.

And can you name these occasions please, out of interest?

Can anyone remember the disgusting way their fans reacted to the minutes silence for one of footballs greats Sir Matt Busby.

They've been doing this sort of thing for years and everybody knows it.

Swore blind I wouldnt reply in this thread, but I felt like I ought to re this.

The full story was a much more complicated affair, with Manchester United point blank refusing to have a minute silence for when Don Revie died (and who can blame them, he was nothing to do with them) and then the FA suddenly say we must have a minute silence for Matt Busby?

Id imagine if Sheffied united refused to have minutes silence for an Owls legend, you wouldnt be too excied at the prospect of getting told you MUST then have a minutes silece for a Blades legend it would be very similar story.

Still, lets not let the background of that incident cloudy the press story eh.
