Just text my dad!! He say's it wasJoe Baker the Alan Shearer of his day. harry told the board if they signed him for 60,000 they'd be best team in england. Foiled again!!

your dads right it was joe baker that catterick wanted to sign but the board refused to give him the money, but he didnt ever play for everton. storey -moore didnt make his debut for forest til 62 which was after catterick left and never played for everton either .

May be he got that last bit wrong then! He's 71 now and been watching the Owls for over 60 years.It takes it's toll you know!!One of his last wishes in life is to see us champions of England! May be players should realise that there are plenty more like this out there, when the are poncing about on the pitch at times! Still he may live untii he is 700!!!

Pretty bad that i'm 18 and there's been 13 in my life time. Things really did go downhill after i was born. Think my first match was under Wilson when i was 4 so would have seen about 8 or 9 in the flesh like
