Wolfmanjack
May be he got that last bit wrong then! He's 71 now and been watching the Owls for over 60 years. It takes it's toll you know!!One of his last wishes in life is to see us champions of England! May be players should realise that there are plenty more like this out there, when the are poncing about on the pitch at times! Still he may live untii he is 700!!! Exactly, it's not too long since, relatively speaking, when you'd see Tommy Tynan in the Old Blue Bell on High Street (or any other boozer that'd serve him), or Shirty in the Birdcage, and Dave Grant in the Wimpey Bar on Fargate. They were approachable then, and didn't earn ridiculous amounts of money compared to the average supporter. Mel Sterland used to pop into Wales club from time to time, can you imagine top Premiership players doing that nowadays? Football's changed massively in the last thirty years, and not all of it for the better.
owlsincefifties
No, because I first went in 1957, therefore my first manager was Eric Taylor Snap

torryowl
25 for me...Catterick was going to buy Joe Baker and would have probably have stopped with us if he had been bought...we did get get Bronco though whose goals to games ratio was as good as ANY forward who has ever played for us dooley and jack allan would have been a better ratio .....but bronco was the best striker i've seen for us.
