What's the alternative? If the questions had been on a scale I'd have given it a 5 or 6 out of ten. Given the binary choice many are not bothered. If the demographics of the board are not to your liking then I don't know what to suggest. Given the multiple crises currently playing out at the club I don't think the result is too shocking tbh. FWIW I said I didn't care much about the quality of the grub either. I still like eating though.

 

TL:DR; If you want nuance then a binary poll will not provide it.

You can't suppose to know the motivations of your user base though. Just writing them off based on their supposed demographics (so far as I know you know nothing about us apart from what you can guess) is just another form of what you are accusing us of for not being 100% behind a women's team.

 

If you really don't do nuance then you can hardly be upset at your users who may feel differently. Let alone imply we are all some sort of middle aged, white collectivist, sexist pigs. The survival of the club trumps my feelings for having a womens team.

 

Anyways, this discussion is derailing my plans of sinking 12 pints and beating my wife.

No one voted that “they’re not bothered”. They voted that it’s “not very important”.

They are not the same thing. The discussion on this issues just highlights the importance of a well constructed survey.

I voted that a women's football team is not important.

 

Can I just clarify that my opinion is "at the moment".

 

I think women's football is important but as a club we need to be able to run one team properly before we start thinking about running another team. (male or female)
