In what way?

Here’s his Championship matches at Boro:-

He played 16 out of their 17 matches.

Started 11 of their 14 games of their successful run-in which gained promotion.

He scored 6 in 1161 minutes - a goal every 193 minutes.

Here’s his contribution to their promotion climax.

How did Boro ruin him?

How did he get on in the season after that? The one you are ignoring?

Selling Rhodes would be a good bit of business for us IMO.  We’ve not played him so what is the point in keeping him only to pay his wages?

I feel sorry for Rhodes because he needed a run of 10 games when he first joined the club and Carlos didn’t give him that.  Been on a downward spiral ever since.  Both him and the club need to part ways.  It just wasn’t meant to be.  He may score a few goals for QPR or whatever other club he may join but so what.

I don’t get this and the hindsight comment on LJ now he is banging in the goals at Reading.

Let’s move on, hope we sign some decent forwards, bring in a good manager and look to the future.

What? In the Prem?

Like Hooper, Forestieri and many many more quality Championship players, the Prem was no place for him.

We are forced to keep Rhodes as no other club would come close to paying the wages he us on here.

The only way Rhodes will go is if we give a generous golden handshake to go.

I dont feel sorry for Rhodes at all. On a fortune and doesnt look interested, stealing a wage.

I'd rather take a punt on Lawrence Shankland tbh. Scored tonnes of goals the last few seasons.

Good shout but he lacks that bit of hight we need for a tall target man.

Cosgrove even reminds me of Chappy flashing in that header against Man U from Chamberlain corner.

What ruined him was not the promotion season, but bonny 'Boro's brief stint in the PL.

Playing him as a lone striker in a bob, defensive team.

I bet he's utterly sick of being in bob, defensive teams.

lol
