Doesn’t work like that though does it - look at Sunderland, look at Stoke now, even Bradford should be doing better Youve still got to do the job and this far in his managerial career he has

I remember he gave an interview on Wednesday Player in pre-season saying the step up to the championship was the biggest challenge in his career, and then days later he was sold. To know that he was axed in favour of a foreign lad that never settled or produced makes it even more frustrating. Agree with this. I wasn't convinced that he would be able to make the step up at that stage of his career but it was a shame we didn't at least give him 6 months to try. Had it not worked out I'm sure he'd have had plenty of clubs in for him from the lower leagues come the January transfer window and it wouldn't have been the biggest of gambles financially to give him that chance. TomtheOwl95
Should have been given a chance in the Championship for me. Likeable player and likeable person, would be interesting to see him here in some capacity one day.

matthefish2002
I couldn't fault his effort but I thought he wasnt very good. I thought when we signed him he was a good finisher but I remember him missing a few chances I expected him to score with his reputation. Correct decision to move him on when we went into the Championship as IMO he wasnt ag that level.

But yeah we didn't actually go above them until the Brentford game.
