shandypants
I noticed an effective tactic that we employed against Brentford. in the first 20 (or so) minutes, we seemed to invite Brentford into the high press and then lift the ball over them to either Fox or Ofubajo on the far side. We did this on four or five occasions with great effect up until Brentford scored. Did anyone else see this? If not, I’m sure it’ll be all there on the extended or full highlights. Guest wilyfox
Score more than we concede. I find that tactic is usually very effective.

That pretty much carried on until half time.
Suzuki_San
I did notice we bullied them effectively too. I imagine this possibly wasn't exactly a tactic, but there were periods in the 2nd half where they were just pushed off the ball really easily, easier than any other game I've seen this season. A better tactic would have been keep Brentford away from our right hand side and avoid odd-job having to defend. I've tried to give the lad time to settle and improve. He just reminds me of jezza Helan, yes he's an athlete, yes he's very quick, but his feet are too quick for his brain, he lacks concentration and awerness and maybe suffers a bit of complacency at times. He is always out of position a lot more than Fox is, but I feel this may be as much manager tactics then him. Think he is told to push on a lot more than what Fox is knowing that Dom is quick enough to get across and cover. It looks bad on Odubajo but I dont think it is all down to him. I think Brentford cottoned onto the invitation and realised it was trap coz the bloke in a false number 9 role started to go out wide right while the bloke in the hole went left when ever lees or big dom had possession causing there midfield 3 to concertina into a tight unit which created space for us to dominate down the channels in the second half ……...there manager should have left things as they were coz the were far and away the better team until he changed things .
