He was saying that there would be an emphasis on improving the attacking side of our game last week.

If I understand correctly?

Yep think thats right, a good center half signing will breed more confidence for us to do that

Even from those short highlights, it was noticeable that we were keeping players wide at all times. Having said that, we didn't really seem to create much with that width It's early days, but it's encouraging that there are signs that we may use the flanks to better effect. Don't know whether it was because it was a pre season friendly, but the tempo of our play was very slow. We need to move the ball much quicker to take advantage of the newly created width. By the time the wide player got the ball in a position to cross, the opposition defence was in place to deal with the cross. Winnall and Rhodes will get little joy against big defenders when challenging for a lofted cross. We need to get the ball in early, like we have done in our previous friendlies

Where was it played though?

I've been to Portimonense twice.  The ground is near the centre of Portimao and not a bit like the athletics ground in the film.

Just noticed....

Estadio Municipal de Albufeira.  Why?   Obviously we aren't an attraction in the Algarves second biggest town.
