Trying to do one thing, earn money. Not a gambling expert, but surely the bookies must work out starting odds, based on previous results??? Why is that? I assume because he misses too many games to have much chance. But that wasn't my point, which was the use of "woeful".

I know that but if he wins top goal scorer in the Championship by playing on the left I will buy every member on here a drink, shortly before Barcelona come in for him to replace Messi or Real Madrid to replace Ronaldo. Winnal scored 14 in 36 Hooper 6 in 23 That's part of the reason, the objective bookies, have Winnals odds much shorter. I'd rather trust the bookies than the Hooper loonies on here. Again, conveniently overlook the fact I said for SWFC.

So Winnalls goals the first 60% of the season for a mid table club, don't count - priceless It's looks like the bookies have taken them into account. oldishowl
If Carlos doesn't intend using FF as a striker, which is fair enough, then he won't play enough games to be anywhere near top scorer. I like Winnall and really hope we don't do owt daft like sell him, especially to a Championship rival. If he plays games he will score goals. I also like the fact he is not easy to play against for the opposition . Knocks them about, puts a foot in without drawing attention from the ref. I like that in a player. Looks like it might be one of Fletcher and Rhodes alongside one of Hooper and Winnall so he will get his chances

Maybe not as much as the last 2 seasons, but he definitely will. Hope so anyway. I really don't like the idea of our best attacking player being shoved out wide all season to accommodate other players that aren't on his level. He is only our best attacking player when he plays wide. He is a very ordinary central striker. I just hope the penny really has dropped with Carlos. Play him with the right partner and he'd outscore them all.

None of them score with FF, and he gets half a dozen per season in that role. It just doesn't work. Unless Hirst can hit it off with FF up top who do you suggest we try next? FF scored 6 as a striker all season. Same the season before. Got to move on from FF as a striker. Sounds like Carlos sees it that way. We need his goals from wide, and 30 coming from our central strike partnerships.

Great chemistry and always cause defenders problems. Your stats are irrelevant.

Just never gets a proper run of games. When he was playing fairly regularly in the first half of his first season, he was on 7 before the end of November. People seem to forget that.
