OwlofOliveGrove
Sheffield Wednesday are delighted to announce that the Season Ticket window for 2016/17 is now open – and as a thank you to our loyal supporters, we are launching a brand new Advance Saver that offers significant short and long term savings on watching the Owls at Hillsborough. The innovative scheme gives Wednesdayites the option to buy a one, two or three-year Advance Saver Season Ticket, with guaranteed and fixed price points offering fantastic value for money across the board. As an added incentive, supporters can also pre-order the 2016/17 official replica shirts at the discounted price of £45 for one or £85 for both the home and away shirts if purchased with an Advance Saver Season Ticket. Fans who chose a two or three-year option can pre-order their shirts for the corresponding campaigns. Chairman Dejphon Chansiri said: “This project is something this club has never undertaken before and is my way of saying thank you to our loyal supporters, who will make guaranteed savings by committing to one, two or three-year Season Tickets. These prices cannot and will not be beaten. “It is a tradition of many football clubs to offer Early Bird Season Tickets but I want to offer our supporters an even better incentive before that period later this year. “I want to offer the flexibility to buy a Season Ticket for one year, two years or three years but we will guarantee the price for the full duration of the purchase, and even make it cheaper. “When I saw our stadium full for the Capital One Cup-tie against Arsenal in October, it brought to life the long term vision I have for Sheffield Wednesday. “Like everyone, I want to see that kind of attendance at our home week in and week out and my desire to lead Sheffield Wednesday to the Premier League grows by the day. “All the experiences I have enjoyed with our supporters continue to give me more and more enthusiasm and the Advance Saver Season Ticket is simply me saying thank you to them.†Reflecting the commitment of subscribing to the three-year plan, prices will actually decrease over the duration of the deal - irrespective of the division in which Wednesday are plying their trade. In addition, we are pleased to announce the introduction of a new price band applicable to 21-24-year-olds to help young adults as they enter the working world with increased financial commitments. The prices of these Season Tickets are set between the concession rate and full adult rate. There are also superb savings for families with all junior prices frozen, and in a bid to grow the award-winning Kids’ Zone area of the Grandstand, junior tickets within this popular area of the stadium are reduced by a massive 50% when purchased with an Adult Season Ticket. The Season Ticket window remains open until Monday 1 February, with guaranteed savings ahead of the next phase of sales later in the year. We are pleased to offer supporters the opportunity to spread the cost of their Advance Saver Season Ticket with our partners V12 finance over a ten-month period subject to a 6.5% administration fee*. All usual payment options are available for the purchase of one-year Season Tickets for the 2016/17 season, including credit cards. We are unfortunately unable to accept credit card payments for Multi Year Season Tickets and therefore purchases of two or three-year Season Tickets must be made in person at the Ticket Office. To speak directly, supporters can request a call back from the Ticket Office by emailing ticketenquries@swfc.co.uk with their client ID and daytime contact number – a member of the team will then call back at the earliest convenience between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. 2016/17 Advance Saver Season Tickets are on sale now in person at the Ticket Office, by telephone on 0871 900 1867 or at the Sheffield Wednesday Online Shop FULL PRICES image: http://www.swfc.co.uk/cms_images/player/prices-1138-2878788.jpg image: http://www.swfc.co.uk/cms_images/player/prices-2138-2878795.jpg *REPRESENTATIVE EXAMPLE: If one adult season ticket purchased at a cash price and amount of credit of £415.00 would be repaid by 1 monthly payment of £68.48 (which includes arrangement fee of 6.5%), followed by 9 monthly payments of £41.50. Guest mkowl
Yes on the 3 year deal- rather than berate the club there may well be very good reasons why this is not possible outside the control of the club

LoadABallacks
Not sure why you can't make the 3 years on credit card. I have the cash but I'd rather pay on my credit card for added protection and the extra benefits it provides and clear the balance off straight away. StudentOwl
£40 discount for paying £1200 up front that it Prices have gone up ~5% each year for the last two years. Assuming that trend continues, a season ticket on the Kop will cost about £460 by year 3, and if you buy a ST every season with a 5% price increase it'd cost you ~£1310 in total. So if things carry on as they have initially being, you're actually saving about 100 quid. Oh, and there's a pretty good chance that for at least one of the years of your 3 year ST you're watching Premier League football Edited January 2, 2016 by StudentOwl
OwlofOliveGrove
The ticket office said they have tried to spread the payments over more than the 10 months but couldn't on the 0% deal. They would have had to stick a decent rate of APR on top.

I thought about that too some fans are still paying for this season. the early bird/advance saver window should have started later and closed in march/april. I have the cash but I'd rather pay on my credit card for added protection and the extra benefits it provides and clear the balance off straight away. That 'added protection' is a direct liability to whoever provides the club's card processing facilities - it's known as 'chargeback risk' and if they allowed the club to take these payments on credit card then the provider would be liable for all that £££ over the next 3 years if something went wrong at the club and supporters called their credit card company for a refund. Clearly they're able to carry this risk for one season but not prepared to triple their liability as well as carrying the extra risks of being exposed for 3 years. OwlofOliveGrove
3 year season tickets have to be paid for upfront then or over a 10 month period. Exactly. The 10 month option is 0% interest but with a 6.5% arrangement fee. So the 3 year tickets go up another £100 or so when you add that fee.

Especially since you're paying for some football matches that won't take place until 2019.

Guest Ash76
Owls Mastercard interest free option appears to be over, according to the TO it is being reviewed. Will have to look at other ways, I don't do interest unless it's on a mortgage
ozzieowl
Unless we get to prem n prices go right up I don't think that's that good of deal for 3 yrs money up front n only still half way thru this season. Plus only a month to sort it just after Christmas. Not mega incentives imo
